Engine/Train/ Locomotive?

Hi Everyone, firstly I have to apologise for being AWOL with my comments, I have had a few things going on, and it has made it less time for me on the 'puter. I hope to be seeing you all soon. I am keeping up with my DT work at least, and making family cards, this is one of them made recently.

Our Great Nephew is an ardent Railway fan and Volunteers for the Gwili Railway. His 20th birthday came up, and of course it had to be a card with a train on. I had forgotten I had a cut file, so off I went and cut the engine out of vinyl, added it to the card, I think you can just about make out the shine of the vinyl. I stencilled clouds and blended green onto the card. Furthermore, I'm happy to say he was pleased with it.

Spring is in the air WLSC mid month

My card today is snowdrops! I love snowdrops, I believe they are supposed to be the first sign of Spring, so I thought why not.  Having a lovely set of them, what do I do? I stamped the snowdrops and embossed them and the sentiment and die cut them, deciding also, to die cut a piece of matching pearlised card. Not satisfied with what I thought of, I went searching through a few sketches I like, to find this sketch. It helped with my design, although not followed faithfully.

I'm trying to do CAS, but finding it difficult. I was going to have just the centre, but I just HAD to add more. So I stamped some more snowdrop heads, embossed and coloured and then added them to each side of the centre.  I hope it's OK with you? It looks good in real life with the shine of the embossing. I just hope the recipient likes it.

We will select two winners each of the weeks
1 using QKR Stampede  or Eureka Stamps image
 and 1 using any image!

Anything Goes every 1st & 15th of the month

This bear caught my eye, with the lovely sentiment, and I had to make a card with him. As always, I take images into Silhouette and print and cut them, this time I included a circle around the bear, to match the dp I had chosen. Cutting 3 layers and 3 of the sentiment. I also cut a mask for the bear, so I could colour the circle background. I coloured the bear and used gold glitter pen to colour the bow of the parcel, then added 3D glaze to his eyes and nose. The sentiment was coloured, and a die cut border from green card added.

The dp, which is years old, was printed and cut to size, with a plain card border around it and just on the top of the floral paper. All attached and added to the base card. I then thought to add a couple of sequins. I really like the colour mix on this card. Thanks to the dp.

inks - Distress Inks, victorian velevet, shabby shutters, salty ocean, scattered straw

Herby birthday CHC

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for,

The theme for this month is "Green"

I love the colour green, and I could have done so many designs for this colour, but I knew I had a beautiful pad of double sided green patterned card, that I just had to use. I found a die I haven't used, and cut one edge of the lighter card, to layer over the darker layer. Both were then die cut with the rectangle die.

I cut a piece of white card from a previous die cut not used, stamped the pot, then using a herb stamp, a NBFU (never before used) item, I stamped it above the pot. I coloured it, maybe I could have done better, in DI's. The 3 layers of happy birthday die cut, were cut from another piece of the card pad, and all layered and added to the card. Quite a few new or unused items used here on this card, quite proud of myself hahaha.

Spring Lamb WLSC

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for We Love Stamping

the theme this month being "Anything Stamped Spring Is InThe Air".

Please share our challenge logo

Spring to me is Lambs, when we travel around the countryside here, we see lambs and I love them. I had a stamp with a Lamb and her Mum, so off I go.

I chose a couple of Spring named digi papers and print and cut them out from the Cameo, so I had the shaped corner. Also cut was watercolour paper, onto which I stamped a little bank for the sheep to stand on. I stencilled some clouds and also stamped some birds. I stamped and embossed the sentiment, then coloured the bank and the sheep with DI's. Would you believe it? I actually fussy cut the sheep and placed them onto the bank with 3D pads. The centrepiece was then added to the dp and the card. I'm quite pleased with the 3D effect of the sheep.

Sketch TMR

Hi Everyone, I have 3 DT cards today, I hope you will be able to visit each of them, this is for -

I had quite a think, about this, then found a half diamond shape in my Silhouette files, so I cut a stencil from it. I then chose my colours, masculine of course, and stencilled onto the card. Next it was embossing a few lines to separate the stencilling.

I wanted a diamond shape for the sentiment, but only had square dies, so that's what it had to be, and it fitted the sentiment stamp nicely, I thought. I decided to make a diamond threesome, so stencilled onto larger squares to match the card base, adding them to the top and bottom corner of the stencilling. You have to look really hard to see them, as I didn't 3D them.

Easter bunnies - CCC

Hi Everyone, I have 3 DT cards today, I hope you will be able to visit each of them, this is for -

Critter Crazy

Whether Furry, Feathered, Fantasy, Fairytale,
Scaly, or Insect, there must be a critter...

As Easter is just a few weeks away, I decided to do a fun Easter card. I saw these fun bunnies in a store recently and as they were SUPER cheap, I had to have them. I die cut a circle and then placed one of the bunnies as close to it as possible. The circle was removed, and the bunny stamped, turning the card to do 3 more, I did the same with the carrots and clear embossed the images and coloured them. I took another bunny and stamped it onto the circle with the sentiment, embossing those too. The carrot was stamped and embossed separately, and I fussy cut it out to add to the centre, which was then added to the card. I went to add pompoms to their tails, but they were far too big, so a drop of crystal drops and the card was done.

inks - Distress Inks - hickory smoke, spiced marmalade, kirsch flamingo
die - lost packaging, sorry.

I thought I would use these lovely images for my card today, and use a floral background I haven't done in a while, well! it's getting to Spring?

I added all dp and images to Silhouette, I printed them and cut 3 of the cat, turtle, and the sentiment.  I cut 2 pieces of card to match the size of the bottom floral, embossing a "wall" and adding stencil clouds. The images were coloured with water colour pencils, I added wobbly eyes to the cat and 3D glaze to the turtle eyes. All then attached to the card. I think I've made it sound a simple card, but it took longer than I thought, don't they always?
