   Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for -

Critter Crazy

 Anything Goes but they MUST feature a critter as the main focus 

Whether Furry, Feathered, Fantasy, Fairytale, 

Scaly, or Insect, there must be a critter.

 

I made a “Thank You” card in 2009, before I started blogging, that I came across looking through my photos recently, and thought I would case it, adding the sentiment of my 2009 card. This is the original card, an awful photo.

 

I decided on a landscape 5 x 7 inch card.

Looking through more files, I found images that would work. I placed the images and the sentiment onto a card size base in Photoshop. Then they were printed out, cutting the background to fit the card base, and then fussy cutting 2 layers of the crocodile, one of the whole crocodile, and one cutting the mouth area. Those teeth were far easier than I thought. The layers were 3d'd, gluing the base of the crocodile to the background, so the top of the crocodile stood out more. I then added wobbly eyes after attaching it to the base card. I added a simple insert saying "Thank You".

Crocodile - I've had it for many years and don't have an identity (around 2016).

Hyacinth thank you

Hi Everyone, my card was made as a thank you for these wonderful hyacinths I received from my SiL, for helping her on a simple thing. I certainly didn't think I deserved them, but with their perfume and beauty I accepted gracefully :) Aren't they beautiful? The little bag was packed with them.

I had a hyacinth stamp and hadn't used it, surprise surprise! and I thought it would be perfect for this occasion. The trouble is, I sent the card before taking a piccie of it, so I made a few others with a changed sentiment. No piccie which means I can't remember what I did, except I know I added a stamp to the base of the hyacinth, so here's the second take so to speak. I even did "splatters", now you must be proud of me? another first!

Electric socket thanks

Hi Everyone, another card I found while going through my files, that I haven't posted, it was a thank you card for the electricians who worked on our new kitchen.

I had seen a USA version on Pinterest,

 but adapted the design to the UK version of electric sockets in Silhouette.

Heart bouquet

Hi Everyone, my card today is another using my Silhouette Cameo, with a fab freebie. I came across the paper in my files and thought it great to point out the sentiment. It's actually a heart on the paper, which I have covered up to put my embellies.

Hi Everyone a card today is using elements and papers selected and arranged from this kit by Valentina, I enjoyed selecting and placing the items in Photoshop, I printed each out and layered onto the card.

The background paper has a digital crease in it, doesn't it look real? I 3D'd the circle and the flower on the saucer, also the sentiment circle and though you may not see it, I added Sheena Douglas Sparkle pens to the flowers and the wings of the bird,  a few sequins to add a little bling.

I'm still on my birthday! - sorry, but there was so much to show you. This was another Thank You card I did, with the font I made looking like honey.

The main photo was taken last year, the others a 

few years ago, love how she put it together.

 AND here is another item that SiL and I put together while they were visiting.

The story behind this is, she wanted to get something for the Gardening Club quiz prize night and to cut a long story short, while browsing a shop, Hubby saw this and asked if it would be suitable, it's a pottery painted mini watering can. Says me, if it isn't we'll have it. She loved it and emailed me what she wanted on it, while here we cut it out on the Cameo and she was thrilled, so am I, hope the recipient will be too. Best part - it cost a £1. By the way if anyone lives near or goes to the club, PLEASE don't say anything about this, SiL will kill me!

I think this will be the last of the projects I made with SiL when she and my Brother visited for my birthday last month, I know it was a lot! We did enjoy it though LOL. 

Sweet as Honey

Hi Everyone, I am slowly getting back to normal, but it has meant a lot of things not done as I would want here, anyhow, I'll try and catch up with you soon.

My card today is for the Outlawz Challenge which ended March 14th! Why did I leave it 'til now to post it? Well I made it for thank you cards for gifts received for my birthday, so didn't want to blog it, as I know a few people who will receive one look at my blog and I didn't want them to see it before hand. I entered the sketch challenge without posting it, promising to do it ASAP and I was thrilled to be Showcased for it at The Outlawz Sketch Challenge.

Anyhow, here it is.

The font "Honey Bee" is one I have just added from FontBundles.net

the font on the site had a honey effect and I thought, silly me, it would be like that when I wrote it, but it didn't.

 I didn't know how to make it that way so emailed the site, 

got a quick reply and instructions on how to make it look like honey, 

now that is what I call Customer Service.

The only thing is it took me rather a long time, especially as I hadn't done anything like it before, you "may" see it again somehow.

 I'm happy with the result though.
