Rushed birthday card

 A quickie post today.

OH! Dear me, another rushed panic card. I had completely forgotten my Great, Great Nieces birthday, she will be 4 this week. My old 'puter calendar reminded me 10 days in advance and was literally on my screen. I'm not impressed with my Google one, maybe because the quality of my old one, which wasn't suitable for Windows 11. Due to the state of the postal service at the moment, I had to get it into the post today.

The first thing I think of when in a rush is my Cameo, and that what is what I used today. Colourful paper and an embossing folder. I added a gold overlay on the cake topper and star loops, and it was done. Although I also printed out an insert, I forgot to photograph in the rush. I just hope she gets it before her birthday and she likes it.

Retirement Teacher

Hi Everyone, I hope you are all OK after all the awful extreme weather, worldwide, we have had in the last few weeks.

My simple CAS card today, was for our nephew in law, who has retired from his Head of Creative Arts Teacher post. Although they have asked him to go back for 2 days a week! He has been very busy in the last 2 years helping his sons who have bought houses to do them up too. I think he deserves to take his time now.

Anyhow, I typed the sentiment in Silhouette and cut the sentiment sheet and background. The image was then cut 3 times, I cut out the Retirement in 2 colours to match the pants and background paper. I had paper pieced the pants in Photoshop, so printed that out and fussy cut it as I forgot to add it to Silhouette duh! I then coloured him with DI's, added 3D glaze to his specs and layered the retirement pieces. All were added to the sentiment paper and to the card.

I have shown you the insert, before printing. The apt Teacher resignation verse is from Craft-U-Print free verses.  I hope it's large enough for you to see.

Favourite colours WLSC

Hi Everyone, my mid month DT card today is for We Love Stamping the theme being "Favourite Colours".

Please share our challenge logo

My favourite colours are - anything, but I prefer bright! Love gold too, so here is a mixture of colour and gold glitter.

Something so different for me, I stamped the different snowflakes in different DI colours, I needed to fill a few spaces, so I looked through my stamps and found a generic stamp to fill them. It was then stamped in different colours also. Taking the outer die of the snowflake in the kit, I stamped inside it and added gold glitter pen to the outside of the die cut. It was 3D'd in the middle circle of one of the large snowflakes. The layer was then attached to gold glitter paper.

stamps & die - Chloes Creative Cards. magazine freebie SCP 225
generic stamp - Chocolate Baroque
inks - Distress Inks. broken china, dried marigold, squeezed lemonade, milled lavender, barn door, scattered straw, twisted citron, cracked pistachio.
gold glitter paper - Papermania

There are always fabulous prizes, why don't you join us at the My Favourite Colours Challenge? It lasts all January, the only criteria is, that stamping must be to the fore. Simple isn't it.

Can we please draw your attention to a change with regard to entries using Instagram. As this format does not offer the option to add a working link back to our challenge, in future they will not be eligible and deleted. We are doing this to be fair to the majority of entrants who do comply with this requirement.

My son was quite unwell last Saturday and after a couple of calls to 111, talking to a Paramedic, we were advised to take him to A&E. We got there at 5.45pm and after a lot of sitting, a heart trace, blood samples and X-Ray, with good news at the end of it, we got home Sunday morning at 6.45am, talk about being shattered doing nuffin! But try to put my son's mind to rest, it was exhausting. Only twelve and three-quarter hours. There were no ambulances outside, just 20 people with carers to add to the number. We all left about the same time, although a few people gave up the wait. I hope I don't have to go through that again in a hurry.

A joke with Alexa this week, I just had to add.

Question - What is the opposite of ironing?

Answer -Wrinkling!

Have fun and enjoy the weekend

Melted Snowman QKR

Hi Everyone, this is my DT card today for

We will select two winners each of the weeks
1 using QKR Stampede  or Eureka Stamps image
 and 1 using any image!

Anything Goes every 1st & 15th of the month

I saw this wonderful snowman and had to colour him, I die cut the frame, the 3 layers of snowman and the sentiment with my Cameo, then on to colouring it all. The frame was using similar colours to this card, as I thought them happy colours. I shaded the background, then, coloured the snowman and added 3D glaze to his nose, he has to have a shiny nose doesn't he? He was layered and attached to the frame. I also layered and attached the sentiment. I hope you think he is as happy as I think he is, maybe the consumption of chocolate made him happy even if he is melting?

inks - Distress Oxide - shaded lilac, squeezed lemonade, carved pumpkin, ripe persimmon, worn lipstick, tumbled glass, hickory smoke, tumbled glass, peacock feathers
3D glaze - Nuvo Crystal Glaze.

Reindeer - smile!

Hi Everyone, my card today was made when I saw a challenge I couldn't resist. Must be my sense of humour or something!

Anyhow, I knew I had this Elk in my files, he always makes me smile whenever I come across him. I went looking for a sentiment or quote to suit the challenge and him, and found one. So off to my 'puter and Cameo and print and cut the image 3 times, also selecting the antlers and cutting 2 each of those and the quote for the front of the card.

I was going to leave him as he was, but decided to add some shrubs to keep him company, so I brushed over some green for a distant background and then stamped the shrubs, colouring them slightly.

The antlers were coloured, then the body, they were all attached, and then a white pen was added to his teeth, 3D glaze was added to his eyes, those perfect teeth and hooves. He was placed onto the card front with the quote, which were then attached to a brown card base and glued to the front of the card base.

New Year stars CHC

Hi Everyone, I'm over the moon to have been asked to join the DT of

I wanted to get involved asap, so I made a New Year card, it also had to be a quick one as it had to be posted in the Challenge which this month is "Celebrations".

What could be a Celebration this time of year? I chose a Happy New Year, hoping it will be better than last year. Fortunately for me, I had a file come through in a Newsletter, on the same morning I was asked to join the Challenge, which I decided was just right for me and this challenge. It was a colouring image, but I decided to make it into a cut file. Using my Cameo, I cut it with glitter gold vinyl, then placed that onto silver mirror card. They were both placed and matched up, behind the black card, I had also used to cut the image out of. It's difficult to get the shininess of the card in the photo, there was no sun, and it was wet and miserable when the photo was taken, but it is so shiny.

It's still in the first week of the New Year, so I think this is still OK to post and
wish you all a Happy New Year.

Super-Star TMR

Hi Everyone my DT card today is for

I could have done so many things with stars, but decided that as it's my #3 brother's birthday tomorrow, I would make a card for him. All my brothers are Superstars.

Anyhow, I have this wonderful image in my files and I decided to use him. I generated the design in Photoshop then printed him onto the front of the card, adding different images to make him a Superstar and the sentiment. I also changed the D on his tunic to B for Brother! I inked him up with DI's, then added gold and silver ink to the starry ovals over his head and, the surrounding stars. The star buttons were added one onto a star in the image.

Favourite Colours - WLSC

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for We Love Stamping the theme being "Favourite Colours".

Please share our challenge logo

My favourite colours are anything, but I prefer bright! Hence my card, I coordinated with needing a card for hubby's Aunt who was 99. After photographing it for my blog, I decided to add die cut numbers of her 99 years.

Anyhow, I used a piece of linen card to have texture, then stamped the top corner and the bottom corner with the floral stamp I have used so many times, I love it. The sentiment was stamped, and they were embossed with gold powder. I wanted a bit of shine on the flowers too, so I used Pixie Powder, mixed on my glass mat and used a paint bush to add it to the large flowers. I used DI's to paint the paler flowers and then painted the leaves and centre of the flowers to match. The completed layer was attached to the main card. It does have a lovely shine, I couldn't get a photo of it to show it though.

New Year Mice CCC

Hi Everyone, I have 3 DT cards today, I hope you will be able to visit each of them, this is for -

Anything Goes but they MUST feature a critter as the main focus
Whether Furry, Feathered, Fantasy, Fairytale,
Scaly, or Insect, there must be a critter...

I have had this image a while, but thought it perfect for this New Year Day. I printed it onto watercolour card and die cut it with my Cameo. Using Distress inks, I followed the original ready coloured image changing them slightly. I added gold glitter pen for the yellow and purple Stickles onto the banner and sentiment, also clear sparkle pen for the hat and drink. After 3D-ing the lady mouse, I had to give her some eyes! It's got a lovely shine to everything.

Sledding Girl QKR

Hi Everyone, this is one of my three DT cards today for

We will select two winners each of the weeks
1 using QKR Stampede  or Eureka Stamps image
 and 1 using any image!

Anything Goes every 1st & 15th of the month

My card today is another Christmas card, why Christmas on the New Year? Because I made it for the challenge before Christmas and realised there wasn't one!!!! What am I like?

Anyhow, when I saw this fabulous image, that reminded me of a suit similar to that I wore as a child. I just loved it and had to colour it up. I print and die cut the image with my Cameo onto watercolour paper. I didn't know what background to use, so I decided to try to make a scene myself.

I printed out the sentiment and using my Cameo, I die cut the image layers. Then used DI's to paint the background, making it a little pale, not to take over or spoil the image. I hope you think it's worked? The sentiment layer was 3D'd onto the bottom layer, and the main image was coloured and 3D'd onto the layers.
