Autumn Colours

Hello Everyone, my DT project today, is for Deedee's Digis sponsored challenge at Creative Moments, with the theme being Fall Colours. Here is my offering, the fabulous scarecrow from Deedee's Pumpkin Patch kit. I printed the image, to which I had added sky and clouds, cut it to fit the bag, which I had cut on the Cameo, the leaves are punched out. With the obligatory choccies inside the bag yum yum!

Christmas Card

Hi Everyone, I had forgotten it was Tuesday and I hadn't posted my Outlawz Challenge sketch this week, so here it is a bit OTT, but that's what some Christmas cards are, aren't they? The DP and elements's are from the Audrey J Roberts "Holly" kit. I added 3D gloss to the bells, glitter to the drop ornaments inside the frames and red pearl drops to the red berries on the corner embellishment, and added to gold paper.

Sympathy Card

Hi Everyone, my DT card for Deedee's Digis today is for the sponsored challenge at Clear it Out. The theme for the challenge is Sympathy with embossing. My card has a butterfly from the "Fluttering By " kit by Deedee, I used a freebie embossing folder which was on a magazine, which I haven't used and have had for an absolute age. The orange ribbon is something I don't use often either. I decided to use the colours of the butterfly for the background paper and ribbon.

Bottle box

Hi Everyone, I have something slightly different today, Hubby's cousin was celebrating their 50th Anniversary. I made a card similar to one I made recently Here, then decided to look for a package for a bottle, I found it on  My SVG HUT what was great is that you can go to her Blog and see full instruction and easy to follow too, IF you follow each step, of course me being me missed one step of doing the hinge on the lid, it still worked though, so no cutting out more card, which was just as well as we were visiting them the next day and I had used All the card - whew!

I used DP from the same digi kit as the card, which matched up well, used some dies to finish off. I was really quite pleased. The ribbon is also included in the file and is used as a band around the box, but in my rush I glued it to the lid, in the front, so had to open it to photo, no problem though, as it is easy to open and close. I added a pearl heart, coloured gold with my Spectrum Noir marker. The 50 was cut on my Cameo. I loved the fact the papers fitted so perfectly, it's something I haven't done a lot of. The papers were cut for the inside too, but as I had missed a step, it would have made it too messy to glue them inside. All in all, I shall be making more of these, NOT missing the step and not in so much of a rush. At the end of all that they were impressed with it and thrilled I had made it for them, so all in all a good result. Enough waffle I hear you cry, here it is - at last!

Garden Magazine

Hi Everyone, my card today was for a lady who was 80, a garden designer and sewing hobbyist. I was stumped on how I would put it together, so looked on line for some ideas and saw a magazine on one of the card sites which enabled you to add your own details, well I didn't want to do that did I? Into Photoshop and copied the shapes and filled in my own details, the rose is a photo I took in the garden, I added an Odd Girl digi stamp of Grandma's Garden and copied the coloured sample by Kristy Dalman at Odd Girls, in PS. I placed her over a free garden design from the web.

Make Peace!

Hi Everyone, my DT card for Deedee's Digis sponsored challenge is a bible verse provided by Word Art Wednesday . I very rarely use a bible verse on the front of my cards, so this was a big challenge for me to try and use the meaning of the words.

I decided to use a cat and mouse who usually chase each other and have decided to make peace and learn together which I believe is the meaning of the Bible verse. It's something the world needs don't you think? Hope you like it.

Another Wedding card

Hi Everyone, I had a few wedding cards to make for the end of August, so thought I would spread them out, here is another one. I was asked to make a fun card for an older couple, who had been married before, one of which was an artist and the other a golfer, this is what I concocted! Love this freebie image, (link below.) I added brushes to her hand as the bouquet and a golf club for him. I added a corner of flowers using print and cut on my Cameo. I'm pleased to report they really liked the personalising. I coloured them in PS. Using the technique here Then added a little bling with gold gems.

Graduation box

Hi Everyone, My next door neighbour's Grandson, Graduated the second time, from University and she asked if I could make a box for a crochet bear she had done. The colours of the University were grey and red, so this is what I made. The bear of course is made by my neighbour isn't it adorable? He didn't want any fuss made as it was his second time so everything was kept low key for him. However I think this bear is going to be a treasured bear.

Welsh Valley

Hi Everyone, we had a ride out in the car last week up into the mountains, so thought I would share what it's like not far from here, you've seen the beaches now for the infamous Welsh Valley ('s). It was perfect Biker day out weather.

The first photo is the village of Bleangwynfi, pronounced Bline-gwin-vee, settled into the hillside.

We travelled over the top of the mountain and arrived above the town of Treochy pronounced Tree-ork-ee, they have a famous Male Voice Choir. These villages and towns were built to serve the coal mines in the area, of which none remain. When I was many years younger most of the mountains around us and up into the Valley's were black with the "slag" remains of the waste coal. It's lovely to see how nature takes over when left alone. The mountains rise up into the horizon.

The bikers enjoyed their journey through the winding road down into the valley. We didn't go that way but turned right and down to the sea at Porthcawl.

Corset Lady!

Hi Everyone, I hope the friend I made this for doesn't see it, she pops in occasionally!!!!!!!!.
anyhow, my card is made for the Outlawz Challenge Wednesday Sketch I missed it last week and just realised I'll miss it this week if I don't get myself in gear! So here it is, just hope it matches the sketch enough, the lady and the roses were coloured and the die cuts were outlined with my Spectrum Noire markers

Evening Stork

Hi Everyone, a DT card for Deedee's Digis, she is sponsoring a challenge at Crafters Cafe with the theme of "make a sky scene".

This was a last minute card for me and I really didn't know what to do, so in my naivety I thought I would be able to make clouds with my Spectrum Noire markers, I am trying so hard to like colouring by hand, this would have been so easy digitally. Anyhow I took 3 colours and just went for it and do you know I really like the sky LOL.

I fussy cut the image and added it to the centre, then added the image die cut with my Tonic circle dies, then thought it toooooo CAS, what to do? Then I thought of doing doodles as I have seen some of you do beautifully, around the edge, I have never done it before so not sure if it OK. overall I am happy for something quite new to me. I think I have to get a fine marker if I decide to do more doodles.

The picture is a bit dark due to late evening taking it and the awful weather we are having.

Rose wedding card

Hi Everyone, I have another wedding card today, I was requested to make a rusty red wedding card!!! so it matched the bridesmaids dresses. I had no colour match or anything to go by, so looked through my files and saw this digi kit. The card also had to have the couples name on the front and they would leave the rest up to me. Don't you love those LOL.

Anyhow here it is, I designed it in PS, then saved it as a PNG and print and cut the rose, butterfly and stamp on my Cameo. The person I made it for was over the moon as the colour matched exactly - luck or what?

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and the sun or the rain, which ever you want, is on you.

Faux painting in Photoshop

Hi Everyone and my lovely new follower, thank you for joining me.

This post is very picture heavy, you have been warned, but I hope you will understand what I have done.

I have been asked to make a tutorial of painting in Photoshop, I use CS6. In a way I don't paint in Photoshop and this will explain what I do. I am not saying it's correct or you will have a work of art at the end of it, but, I hope it will make it easier and less frightening. This suits me with my digis, I do include other tools and paint sometimes, but this is to get you started.

Here goes. I would love to have any comments that helps or I can change, you can also see this tutorial HERE.

PLEASE do not copy or post any of this to any other web page or blog. I have spent many hours putting this together. Send people here instead - Thank you.

Flower girl

Hi Everyone and my new followers, I am thrilled to have you join me, I hope you enjoy your visits.

Today I have a card with an image from Ignacio at Nicecrane. It is part of the Flower Children Digi Sheet and is image #4 that I love, it has been given as the Progressive freebie on the Outlawz challenge., I have designed the card, layered all papers (they are one layer printed). I coloured the image in PS, then printed a few images out and decoupaged her. I added glitter and a ribbon and a 3D butterfly and layered onto green paper to complete it. It's all more vibrant in real life, I think it was the wrong time of day to take the photo.

Rolling along!

Hi Everyone my DT post today for Deedee's Digis  was for a Black and One Colour challenge that didn't appear for some reason, so I am going with Addicted to Stamps. Anything Goes. I have chosen the fun zebra image from Deedee's Digis I've given him a fun frame and a stripy font too. I used him from the Go Wild kit, these animals make great CAS cards. This time I decided to frame him, add zebra paper and buttons, the buttons I have had for yonks! thinking I would use them a lot, I bought a few! but struggle to find something suitable, thankfully they suit this card LOL.

Traffic lights!

Hi Everyone, I have followed a sketch today from the Outlawz Wednesday Challenge, I missed the last one with my Indian Dance card, so was determined to get in on time this week and here it is. I turned the sketch onto it's side and as it's for my God Daughter's husband and he has a lot of travelling to do, I thought "road" and this came together. All designed in PS, printed then layered onto black card and 3D'd onto the card. I added his birthday to the Today tag.

Birthday Cake

Hi Everyone, another family card, I have 3 within days of each other. I made this for my nephew, he has been on a diet, and I just had to include a cake on his card, I made it a fruit cake with white icing on it, when a child it was his favourite cake and my MIL would make him a wedding cake style cake as it was his favourite.

Mary Ellen Smith at Dearie Dolls added this image just in time for me to use it. I used the outline image as I wanted to change the cake. I coloured it in PS and followed the Mojo sketch but turned it. I just realised I should have added a couple of "bling" or something to the top of the black shape on the sketch, not too late, I'll add them now LOL.

The wonderful sentiment is by Create with TLC which is perfect for a dieter don't you think? LOL - I am wicked!

Thought I would show you a handbag my SIL has just finished making, she made her dress and stole and the bag matches it all AND her fabby shoes too. Isn't it gorgeous. She looks gorgeous in it all too.

Colouring?

Hi Everyone and a special Hi to my lovely new follower, I appreciate you like my work to follow me, that said I appreciate all my followers - you are WONDERFUL.

Anyhow on to today's post, I haven't got a card, but I have 3 colouring attempts with different mediums. You know I am a PS colourer, but it's something that is frowned on in some quarters, so I thought I would try something else. You may have seen my colouring with water colour pencils.

Today I have Photoshop, Spectrum Noire and Aqua Markers. I was able to return the Aqua's thankfully, if I was a stamper I would have kept them. I bought the 72 Spectrum Noires at half price on C&C, but need a LOT of practice before I can confidently put an image onto a card, but I like the vivid colours they give, so will keep at it.

The digital? has the wrong skin tone, I followed a colour chart which was off when printed. duh!
The Noire's?  I got the hair wrong and tried to use a blender to lighten, wrong choice - duh!
The Aqua's?  bled with my printing! duh!

I would love to hear your honest comments on each one.
