Super-Star TMR

Hi Everyone my DT card today is for

I could have done so many things with stars, but decided that as it's my #3 brother's birthday tomorrow, I would make a card for him. All my brothers are Superstars.

Anyhow, I have this wonderful image in my files and I decided to use him. I generated the design in Photoshop then printed him onto the front of the card, adding different images to make him a Superstar and the sentiment. I also changed the D on his tunic to B for Brother! I inked him up with DI's, then added gold and silver ink to the starry ovals over his head and, the surrounding stars. The star buttons were added one onto a star in the image.

Rocking Chair!

Hi Everyone, it seems I am doing only DT posts recently, however, today I have a card I did for my BiL, it was his 89th birthday, he has dementia and I wasn't sure if he would be able to understand the joke, but thankfully he seemed to.

The photo has a slight blur, I couldn't correct it, as I had taken it just as we were delivering it to him. Anyhow, I used Gus, who I love, he has just the right expression for my BiL hahaha. I coloured him in watercolour pencils after taking him into my Cameo and sizing him, print and cutting with 4 layers. I also added, 3D glaze to his specs and sparkle pen to the balloon and bows on the presents. The sentiment is computer generated and the birthday sentiment is stamped, a simple card, but it makes me smile, as it did him and my SiL.

image and sentiment - Gus Rocking Chair, Bugaboo Stamps, (I miss them so much)
watercolour pencils - Nuvo
3D glaze - Nuvo Crystal Glaze
sparkle pen - Crafters Companion
stamps - Magazine freebies

Seeing as I'm on the subject of old? The path is finished - by Oldies!

A ton of stones was delivered yesterday and Hubby 79 today and my eldest brother 86, both wheel barrowed the stone up the garden, it has a slight incline onto the path, from the front of the house.  I spread the stones out by raking them around the already cemented pavers, by hubby last week, and in an hour and half it was all finished. Here are a couple of piccies of the both of them just after it was finished. Hubby is shattered with it, but went on to do more, clearing up and a bit of gardening, when he had his breath back. My brother looks like he hasn't lifted a finger hahaha. I think we all used muscles we haven't used in a while. I am so proud and lucky to have all the men I have in my life.
This is the finished path (that I raked)

even the evening clouds got into the celebration, trying to
match the colour and shape of the bunches of blossom on the cherry tree.

I made 2 shapes in PS and added 2 overlays,
shadows and embossed the holly overlay.
This was quite a simple card to put together,
a little longer to finish though LOL.

My DT choice from Bugaboo is "Umbrella 1". I thought it so pretty.

My favourite colours are from the garden for this weeks challenge.  Yellow, Pink and Green, I couldn't get it down to one, as I have lots of favourites, I LOVE colour - as you can tell from most of my cards.

Hi Everyone

It's time for a new challenge at

Blue, Yellow and White

My DT image is lbhello.  Now I hear you saying a ladybird (bug) is normally red and black, well it's PS land, so it can be any colour and today she is blue and yellow! My initial thought was a CAS card as the image lends itself to it, then decided to have a look at my sketch files and chose this one by Graphicat 2013.

I did lots to this, including, the custom banner shape files by HG designs were linked to DP's from a digi kit Denim and Daisies by Just so Scrappy, into material with an Atomic Cupcake action.

I used the banner shape to add a shadow to make it look like the material was curling upwards, I added the flower border also from the digi kit and embossed it to make it look like it was "sewn into" the background. I added pins to hold them to the background.

Now onto my image and it's "cloud".  The shape is from a Digi kit Nerd Herd by A. Bloom. I overlaid it with a background by Gina Jane Johnson so it had clouds in a cloud! then added the Bugaboo Hello and coloured and shadowed it.  It's such a sweet image.

I suppose I could go on with what else I did, but I expect it would bore the pants off most of you so I'll end it at that.  Hope you like it.

Here it is printed and layered and 3D glossed.
