Penguin 2CCC

Hi Everyone, I have 3 DT cards today, this is for -

our new named blog

although the rules are slightly different, we still have the same challenge

Anything Goes but they MUST feature a critter as the main focus

Whether Furry, Feathered, Fantasy, Fairytale,
Scaly, or Insect, there must be a critter...

I have tried to do mostly one layer cards for Christmas this year, last year I was charged to much for the post! My cheapskate part of me took over!

My card is using the cutest penguin, I added the lights to him digitally and deleted part, so it looks like they are behind his head and I had him stand on an ice cube. I added a background that has pale snowflakes in the image then added the sentiment. I printed it, then added clear glaze to the lights, his eyes and beak and some snowflake dies from mirror card. I didn't want to add another layer under it, so I went around the edge with a glue pen and added silver glitter. A nice light-ish card for posting.

Hopefully you can see the shine on the lights and the face here.

Lemons?

Hi Everyone, a card made in the mood that I felt! I made it for the Outlawz Sketch Challenge, I haven't visited there in a while and it helps me so much with designing a card.

Anyhow as things have been difficult recently, I was looking through my files for something bright to make for the challenge and to cheer me up, I actually saw the border image first which looked like the ribbon we were shown was on the sketch, it went from there, the sentiment outside and inside reflected what I felt then. I'll keep the card to send to someone going to through rough times too LOL. The card is made up of  digi images and papers printed and cut on the Silhouette Cameo.

Blue Tulips!

Hi Everyone,
WHOOOOPPPPEEEEEEEEEE
Congratulations to my fellow Welshman
 Geraint Thomas
on winning the Tour de France.

I have been trying to catch up on challenges I usually enjoy and this is for one of them. The Outlawz Progressive challenge. The sponsor is Andrea Norris at Sheepski Designs who gave this wonderful image of Tulips for us to use. I was wondering what to do, as I wanted to make it in the shortest time possible, - it didn't happen!

I added everything to the front of the card, went to open it and found I had added it upside down! I really didn't want to do it all again, so cut the back off the ready made card, I got another, but folding the front in half, thankfully an easel was made to rescue everything. Whew! But that meant doing more for the insert, oh! well the best laid plans and all that, in the end I'm quite pleased with it. AND I made my first ribbon folded roses/flowers!

don't you just think the "folds" in the background paper look real?
die - magazine freebie (I think by Johanna Sheen Signature Die)

Fae with Glitter wings

Hell Everyone, my card today is for the
Anything Goes Challenge.

I decided to use an image I haven't used before and I LOVED colouring her, I wanted the card quite simple, I hope I achieved that.
Fae excl 3 - Morgan's Artworld
coloured digitally in PS
dp's - Amanda Creations
dies - Tattered Lace
Cosmic Shimmer Glitter Jewels.

I hope to see you over at Morgan's Artworld, any designers image is OK for the ATG challenge, my Team mates have produced really beautiful work.

Just a note on a different subject -
When I made yesterdays Sunglasses card, I wasn't sure if it would be used, it was! my Niece lost her Rayban sunglasses that her son had bought her, he also had them engraved "for Mum, I love you", when home for Christmas from Australia. Well she lost them and was extremely upset, but after crawling through every shop in the shopping centre (Mall), someone had handed them in, how honest was that person, I wonder if it was the inscription that did it?
