Bunny smile CCC

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for -

Critter Crazy

Whether Furry, Feathered, Fantasy, Fairytale,
Scaly, or Insect, there must be a critter.

I am trying to use up digital stamps I haven't used before, but it's going to be a long road as I have sooooo many. Anyhow, I found this cute bunny, and decided to use it for a GG Niece birthday. I looked for some birthday paper in my files and this came up. I added a black birthday greeting to the paper and printed and die cut it, then attached it onto a die cut paper layer to match the printed paper. They were attached to the card base.

Next I took the bunny into Silhouette and print and cut it three times. I coloured the bunny with markers and 3D'd the hand and feet pieces, it was added to the paper layers. I then added 3D glaze to the bunny's eyes and the camera lens.

The negative and smile word, I designed in Silhouette, and cut it from black card twice, I then painted them with sparkle pen.

Panda CCC

Hi Everyone, one of my 2 DT cards today is for -

Critter Crazy

Whether Furry, Feathered, Fantasy, Fairytale,
Scaly, or Insect, there must be a critter.

This panda came to light when I was looking for something else in files, do you find that? I do a search and the strangest things come to light. This was a cut file, so I took it into my Silhouette and cut it out with the negative frame, at the same time. The panda was a "hollow" shape, with just the black, but I made a white layer for the black to sit on. I sized them all to fit a 5x7 inch card. The eyes were so tiny, I'm surprised I could even pick them up.

As for the sentiment, I also found it in my files, something I had saved for future use. I generated it in Photoshop, and print & cut it out layering it onto black card which, with the negative shape was laid onto the base card. Next the panda was 3D'd and laid inside the negative shape.

I decided to make the insert full colour, so again, in my files, I found the "paint strips", and added a few words I thought would be suitable for the insert.

negative shape - Carin Grove
font - Bigger Lemons

Flowers CHC

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for,

The theme for this month is "Flowers"

I bought the Daisy die, a few months ago, but haven't used it until now. The theme is flowers, so I decided on the design, then cut the daisy. Only to find the centre petals cut out, which I didn't want, so I embossed the die, coloured it, cut it out and added the die cut on top, attaching it by the centre only.

Off to find some daisy digital paper in my files and found this one, cutting it to fit the bottom half of the card. I then decided to use ribbon, as I hadn't used any in a long while, and it matched the ink of the leaves. I attached the ribbon to the paper and then to the card.

A birthday sentiment was stamped onto the paper, decided it needed more, so drew a wiggly line and a few strokes. Card done!

ink - Distress Oxide, squeezed lemonade, fossilized amber, & mowed lawn
sentiment - magazine freebie

Quick say cheese!

Hi everyone, my card today was for my lovely youngest brother who was 74 yesterday, a retired professional photographer, I always try to include something to do with photography or his beloved cat. This birthday, I again, decided on photography and was lucky to see this fabulous image, which I though was perfect for him. I made a comment on Lee's blog and she kindly sent me a few different stamped images I could colour. This was the one I commented on.

I coloured the image with DI's and then measured the size of the image. I sized a film frame  in my Silhouette, and decided to do a fold card with the fold shape based on a card I had done before. I added some photos of my brother and a film strip and backing for the photos. Then cut, folded, glued, attached and finished off with a computer generated quote I made up, I thought it suited the mouse image on the front layer. I'm glad to say he appreciated it and enjoyed the laugh.

Dragon Army

Hiya Everyone, my first DT card today is for

the 44th Challenge at

 2 Crafty Critter Crazies

     Now, our November Challenge!

We are excited to be sponsored this month by

The digital stamp has uncoloured and ready coloured images and background and I loved it, then thought I needed a challenge to make this different. My card today is from a second attempt! Why? because I thought Halloween, forgetting this post would be after it! So my second attempt is Winter / Christmas and do you know what I'm pleased with it, I hope you like it too.

I used the uncoloured digital stamp and a background I have used many times, but is perfect for lots of images. I coloured the image and I HAD to have a red dragon of course. (It's on our Welsh flag in case you didn't know!) I paper pieced the image digitally and added the sentiment, it had to be "warm" wishes didn't it? I print and cut it with my Silhouette, when printed the image's skin was paler than I liked, so I coloured the skin with markers.

I had cut three images out, they were layered, with sparkle pen used on the sword and shield and part of the helmet also the fire and smoke. I added glaze to her eyes. Before I added her to the card, I stamped some trees and added white pen and glitter, also to the snow area of the paper background.

background - Carin Grobe Design (I've had it since 2011)
image - My Little Dragon Army The Paper Shelter
paper pieced papers - Summer Driggs (no longer available)
stamps - Simply Cards & Papercraft #208 freebies
ink - Papermania
sentiment -  Create with TLC
markers - Spectrum Noir
sparkle pen - Spectrum Noir
glaze - Nuvo Crystal Drops

showing the sparkle and layers,
although the sunlight has actually made the card lighter than it is.
I've added it to a tent fold card,
anyone any ideas how to stop it opening up while placed to display?

I'm hoping to see you in the challenge.

This was my first creation done in Photoshop, the Halloween version, I wasn't going to add it, but actually like it, so thought I would share the digital version with you.

Blooming Tag

Hi Everyone, my card today is for the Outlawz sketch challenge and this week it was a Tag, my mind went wild, a tag card, a tag for numerous occasions, add a tag to a card? that's what I went with, but to what card, I hadn't used my Cameo for a few days or so, so decided to have a look at what I have, found this pretty cut file and then went for images in my files to match. This is the outcome and I'm quite pleased with it, I even used a "real" stamp! can you believe it?

Card cut file - Shirley's Cards
to which I cut in half and placed over green card, I added mirror gems
and yellow centres to the flowers with Spectrum Noir pens.
