A wedding, not a Christmas card!

Hi everyone, I seem to be showing you Christmas cards and not others I have been making, so I thought I would let you see one of the "not" Christmas card I made recently.

The card was for our Godson's Son and his bride, OH! where are the years going?

Due to lots going on and lack of mojo, I decided to recreate, with a few little changes, a card I did many years ago, 2012 to be exact. I have looked to see if I blogged it and can't find it with the date of the photo I have, never mind, we'll stick with this one! I had printed the card out previously, this was more hands on.

I stamped the sentiment and hearts around the horseshoe with a silver ink pad, with quite a few impressions of the ink. I cut the horseshoe and the cat out with my digital die cutting machine and also the white overlay which I embossed. I added clear glaze to the cat, after stamping a heart shape onto him, with the silver inkpad. I then placed them onto the horseshoe and added a bunch of flowers I have had for years. I hope they liked it, they are still on honeymoon, so I hope I will know on their return.

The photo's aren't very good to show up the stamping, the light at the time I took them was awful, not even Photoshop could improve them!

stamps - magazine freebies
horseshoe - a cut file I did in 2012.
(I can't remember if it is copied or I made it up myself, well it is a few years ago!)
cat - is an altered image, I had as a freebie svg file, I wanted it more rounded.

Wedding cards

Hi Everyone, my post today included 2 cards, why? you may ask, because a friend of mine asked if I would make cards for herself and her Mother for her Daughter's Wedding Day.

I had recently bought a car die which I thought looked so elegant, not knowing that the order would be within days of me buying it.

wedding car die - Sweet Dixie
flower corner die - Sue Wlson
oval pin dot dies - Tattered Lace
embossing folder - Embossolicious
the text was sketched on both cards by the Cameo with dark grey and silver pens,
as I can't print on the heavy 300g linen card I used
silver card from stash

as it was for the same couple I wanted something completely different.
dp - The Lovely Studio (used to be Pink Petticoat)
flower die behind tag - Sissix
tag - Silhouette store
heart dies - Magazine freebies
banner - done on Cameo
I also added a heart shaped photo of the couple by the
heart dies, but forgot to take a photo of it!

here are the cards and boxes I made for them.

Another Wedding card

Hi Everyone, I had a few wedding cards to make for the end of August, so thought I would spread them out, here is another one. I was asked to make a fun card for an older couple, who had been married before, one of which was an artist and the other a golfer, this is what I concocted! Love this freebie image, (link below.) I added brushes to her hand as the bouquet and a golf club for him. I added a corner of flowers using print and cut on my Cameo. I'm pleased to report they really liked the personalising. I coloured them in PS. Using the technique here Then added a little bling with gold gems.

Rose wedding card

Hi Everyone, I have another wedding card today, I was requested to make a rusty red wedding card!!! so it matched the bridesmaids dresses. I had no colour match or anything to go by, so looked through my files and saw this digi kit. The card also had to have the couples name on the front and they would leave the rest up to me. Don't you love those LOL.

Anyhow here it is, I designed it in PS, then saved it as a PNG and print and cut the rose, butterfly and stamp on my Cameo. The person I made it for was over the moon as the colour matched exactly - luck or what?

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend and the sun or the rain, which ever you want, is on you.

Wedding card

Hi Everyone, when I made this wedding card I had no idea what I was going to do, I had my favourite Tattered Lace embossing folder, to which I added a ribbon, but didn't know what else to do, so I designed a Mr & Mrs heart for my Cameo. I used a large embossing tool to shape the solid heart inside the cut heart and added a gem to accent it, added Tattered Lace dies, made roses from a Brittania die out of the DP I added to the background of the heart, to match the inside of the card. I also added sparkle to the roses, but I'm afraid it doesn't show up.

Wedding Card

Hi Everyone, Deedee is sponsoring a challenge at Fan-tastic Tuesday and I have made a card using Two Hearts by Deedee's Digis, such delicate papers and beautiful heart images. I decided to use the flowered heart to match the papers I used.

I laid it all out in Photoshop, you could use Windows too I suppose.

I sized the paper I wanted to use, then I added two DP's, the one with rings as a background sheet and the flower one as the main DP. I added the flower heart and copied the flowers off it and included it on the layout. Also placed 2 shapes one larger than the other. I printed the green layer too, to match the green in the image. A bit of Stickles and Perle Pen to add the "pearls". I used 2 sheets of paper for this. Hearts, sentiment shape and digi ribbon fussy cut.

After this card, mojo was still going strong, I used the plain heart image as a digi stamp. In PS I clipped the paper to the hearts to match the background DP, then added the second DP and flowers which went through and around the hearts. Two completely different cards.

Now & Forever verse

My DT post today is for Deedee's Digis who is sponsoring the challenge at  Crafty Gals Corner challenge Theme - Bingo

My choice is the bottom row, Buttons, Brads and Ribbon.

I have used another image from the Now and Forever Kit, this time the Bible Verse, a real wish for a newly married couple. I used DP's from Amore by Shabby Princess a rather old kit (2006), but still lovely. All printed out and layered. I used gold mirror card and embossed it with the Cuttlebug Swiss Dots folder. I added the brads to the ribbon and the buttons are from the same digi kit (digi buttons with 3D gloss. LOL), different colours for a wedding card, but we have just had St Valentine's Day, so felt it right in this instance.
