 Hi Everyone, my DT card for today is for 

 

So many things I could have done with the subject, but it seems I'm on a run with a Dr Digi images. I love this image and as my Nephew in Law, is a great BBQ King it was made for him, he really does delicious things with the BBQ, so it's perfect for his birthday. 

I started with the background, pretty simple, I stencilled the clouds and grass and cut to size with a die. I then took the image into Silhouette and print and cut him 3 times for depth.  Next was to colour him with DI's. I really am no artist. The stencilled layer was added to the base card and then Chuck was added. I also print and cut the sentiment 3 times, it was a copy of the words I had in my files, that wouldn't fit, and it was layered onto the card. Quite simple, but that's my mind set atm.

 Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for,

 

 Crafting Happiness Challenges

  The theme for this month is "Rainy Weather"

Would you believe I had trouble coming up with a card for a rainy day? I just couldn't decide, out of all the things I have on the subject of rain. Anyhow, after a few trials went into the bin, I put this together and although it's nothing much, it makes me smile.

I have had the images for years. The Raining image and the watering can were taken into Silhouette to print and cut 4 times. After a lot of faffing about with 2 other images and these, I decided to use just the 2 with a sentiment, which is computer generated. I guess I had it from the web a long while ago. The images were already coloured, I just added a light grey border for shadow on the watering can. 

I placed the layered can and raining girl, onto a dark grey card, well it is a rainy day, and drew, with the glue pen some rain, then heat embossed with the embossing powder. The sentiment was printed and die cut. It just needed a die cut tiny butterfly too. Very simple, but as I said, but it makes me smile.

Monochrome TMR

Hi Everyone my card today is for 

My card today was a "forgot to get" order card from my Son, this was the evening before hubby's birthday! Seems I'm on a roll with B&W as in my last post

Anyhow, I had a quick look through my files and found this digital die cut, which I cut with my digital die cutting machine. I had another file that was the HBU2 which I thought could match the first file, so went ahead and cut them out. The "briefs were cut from a double sided paper pad and it was reversed to make the "lining" of the pants, Did I say lining? Who has lining in their briefs, what was I thinking! Must have been the rush.

The sentiments were cut from white card with a black shadow layer. I 3D'd the words and the briefs. Three gems added under Dad and the card was done.  Son was pleased and relieved and Hubby happy too. All's well that ends well ay?

Hi Everyone, A mixed media ish? card today with a few processes. I started off, designing it in Photoshop, I chose the sketch but didn't have paper to match for the rectangles, so I made some in PS, using the items, that I eventually placed on top of the matching paper. Then as I wanted to cut the items out, I added them to my digital cutting machine, so much easier than fussy cutting, for me anyway. I added glaze to the elements, I thought it made them look like stickers. 

I found a lemon in my cutting files, so used that as the background to the beautiful image. I had my subscription magazine recently and I used the stamps that were with that, heat embossing them and colouring them. Adding drops to finish. Sounds so simple doesn't it? It took me a fair few hours though.

Milk Carton boxes

Hi Everyone 2 little boxes today, I was looking through my files for a box, when a follower email came through, with just what I was looking for, thanks Carol. I cased them LOL. I thought it a wonderful idea and so did my eldest SiL, I gave them to her for her 82nd birthday. One with some expensive choccies in the the bigger box and the other with a Cadbury's creme egg. I think she was more thrilled with the egg LOL.

Snowman Tag

Hi Everyone, another Deedee image, isn't he the cutest little snowman.  This and the sentiment are from the Snowman Tags kit. I didn't use the ready coloured version on this I coloured him in PS to match the DP I used, printed and added Glamour Dust. I added the DP to each side of the bottom part and the top of the box.

Wellies!

Hi Everyone, I decided I wanted to do a bit of cutting out for a change, well not literally, but on my Cricut. I am ashamed to say that I have an awful lot of files that have only seen my file system, certainly not anything else. Looking through I saw these and thought that they looked easy enough and I had card that would match the file colour example, after all it was only a play to see what happened wasn't it?

They turned out so well, I was thrilled to see what these files are all about.  Here they are, one a card, one just waiting to be used. They both have 4 layers, making them quite sturdy. I added Stickles for a bit of glitter.

each example could have been as big as I wanted though.
