Christmas card in July #2

Hi Everyone, keeping up with the Christmas in July theme, it's doing me good, at least I have started making the dreaded Christmas cards. I decided to do a wobble card. I don't use these colouring book images enough, they are fun and easy LOL.

I also thought I would show you a bird doing what to me is a strange thing?

On to my card.
image - Elizabeth Dulemba colouring pages
coloured in PS CS6, for some reason the yellow is orange and the orange is red in the photo, maybe because it was very heavy cloud when taken?
sentiment - Create with TLC
tree background - Marisa Lerin Pixelscrapper
wobbly eyes - stash
Action Wobble for movement #julyawc
wire glued to star and back of tree to hold star.

Now for the bird a pigeon!
The photos were taken from inside the conservatory, he settled down on top of the box hedge making himself very comfortable and stayed for about half an hour, I've never seen this happen before, they usually stay for a feed and jump at the slightest noise, but nothing seemed to startle him. Then he just flew away. I thought he may be injured at first, but there was no problem with his flying. Maybe it was a female practising nesting?

Tiger Grrrr!

Hello Everyone an extra post today as I have been wanting to make another wobble card for ages, but delayed having the wobbles!

The FB Wobble challenge this time is Zoo, so a looky through my files to see this image I haven't used before, such a happy tiger. A simple card, but fun I think?
I used a digital kit by Digilicious, "finsfansfurfeet"
designed in Photoshop CS6
printed and cut on the Silhouette Cameo
with extra images for layering.

I thought I would share a couple of photos of the garden, it's been a dreadful Summer so far, cold and wet, so cold we have had the heating on until last week on most days, only for a short time, it seems old age is letting us know the lack of summer temperatures. (until the weekend it seems?)

Anyhow, my beautiful Japanese Acer has decided it's Autumn and has  decided to change colour, as have a couple of other plants in the garden. Here are a few piccies to show you.

I haven't seen so many seeds on it before, but look at the end of the leaves!

even our blue hydrangea leaves are turning it hasn't even come into flower yet and they are so small this year.

We have a Virginia creeper that is travelling through the hawthorn tree that looks like it's turning to it's Autumn colour too.

Is anything happening like that in your garden?

Age card

Hi Everyone, this is my second DT card today, all or nothing ay? LOL.

Anyhow I made this card recently and realised it fitted the theme for
https://themaleroomchallengeblog.blogspot.com/
I made it for our Great Nephew, who rang me and told me it was the best card he had ever had, I was well chuffed with that. He is a Junior Champion Rower and taken by his Dad, goes all over the country, he has lots of cups and medals, so making the trips worth it LOL.

I started with a silhouette of a rower that I made into a frame and added a shadow of gold card in Silhouette Cameo, I also cut the star shape and the 16 on the Cameo.

The background stamp, is one of the 3 I won recently from Chocolate Baroque. It's made by Crafty Individuals. A REAL red rubber stamp, and, I have to say it stamped beautifully. I suppose you could call this card "mixed media?"

Hi everyone, my card today is one that I put together after seeing a challenge.
I just love these Funky Rabbits LOL. As the card is for our Great Nephews in addition to their Easter eggs. I thought it would suit them.

Just a little something else, nothing important you can skip this if you prefer.

- I haven't made Welsh cakes ( info/recipe all butter is better! ) for years and years, but with me getting back into cooking! with the new kitchen, I decided to make some, went looking for my bakestone that I had soon after we married nearly 53 years ago and couldn't find it! I used a heavy frying pan, but it wasn't the same for me and I burned them more than not.

I ask hubby if he had seen it around, "Oh! yes" says he, "it's holding down my small greenhouse!" "I want it back" says I.

I saw the state it was in and had recently seen how Coca Cola removes rust. I never drink it, so had to buy a bottle, into a bowl it went with the bakestone, me expecting a clean and rust free finish!
during the process

After Coca Cola! a little better, but still not fit for use.

After hubby spent a few hours grinding the rust off both sides

Now all I have to do is
"season" it a few times and hope it will be back to it's old self in a little while. We'll wait and see!
