4 year old card
Hi Everyone, my card today is for my Great Nephew's 4th birthday. I haven't been too well this last 6 weeks, and I was completely without mojo. I don't have "young" stamps, that i could think of. I didn't fancy any of my digital images, so I went down the svg route and this is what happened.
The paper was chosen before using card to match it. I printed and cut it to size and added it to the card. I cut the candles and sentiment on my Silhouette. I added 4, of course, for his age. The tiny pieces required tweezers to add to the face.
I used white pen to add the brightness in the eyes and inked around each candle for shadow. I added ink for the cheeks, but the darker shades wouldn't take it!
White pen and clear glitter pen were added to the flames of the candle card pieces.
I then wrote the name and added a shadow, and cut it. I hope he likes it.

Something different!
Hi Everyone, are you still enjoying the heat? I think it will help us go into cooler temperatures and Autumn easier, we’ll be glad of cooler temperatures? I've decided to stay in a cooler zone, my North facing craft room.

Cat loss card
Hi Everyone, I had a call recently from one of my Sisters in Law who, through tears, told me they had to put their cat down to her illness and old age. She was a stray and was found full of fleas and sores, my brother and she, took her in, and saw she had a wonderful life of many more years.
This is the card I made for them. I used my Silhouette to cut the heart frame, and used Photoshop to make the centre. I used a photo they had sent me, of Chloe, on my brother's lap, using the same blue as his trousers, to make her stand out in the circle shape I used.
For the insert, I found a couple of verses on the web and adapted them to suit. I used the same photo on the left of the page.

Spaceman
Hi Everyone, I hope you're all up to date with Christmas preparations? Am I - Nope! We'll get there won't we as we usually do.
The weather was so awful last night, I hope you were all safe, we felt like we were trying to sleep in the middle of an airport runway, it really was so bad. Luckily no damage around here. We have sun and very cold temperatures, with the wind still quite high, making it feel colder.
Anyhow, here is my card for today, it was for my GGNephew who was 2 last week. He really is a little darling, although, as they live 6 hours away, we still haven't met him, with Covid etc, except by WhatsApp.
I didn't know what to do, so I went through my files, as I usually do and found these beautiful images. All into my die cutting machine to cut out, I glued all layers of the images together, as I had cut at least 2 of each, the spaceman I had reversed one image so that he could be seen from the back of the card too. I then added clear glaze to his helmet, the spaceship and the eyes of the earth. I hung the spaceship on acetate so it was "flying! the spaceman was on 3D stickers so he looked off the page also. The stars were then added to the navy coloured card background. I have to say I was pleased with the end result.

80th birthday
Hi Everyone, some more of why I have been so busy. Our very long time friend had his birthday last week and I made the Thermometer card for him. We don't buy presents for each other, but this calls for a celebration methinks, so we bought some Champagne for him to celebrate. I couldn't give it to him as it was and in the morning of us going to his Tea Party, I realised I hadn't got any bottle bags. Off to Silhouette again, (told you in my last post I had been busy with it).
I cut the bottle top with gold card, then added the bottle image with his name and age and greeting. I then printed it out and cut it with the Silhouette. Attached to the gold bottle topper.

25th Anniversary and Champagne
Hi Everyone, an apology due from me for being awol visiting you all. I have been very busy and had a visitor, making time non existent for me. I won't be able to catch up, but I will have a looky to see what I've missed. So sorry.
Anyhow on to what I have been doing in my "spare" time. We had a visit from my niece she saw the bottle tag I made (I'll show you in my next post) and asked if I could make 10 for a party she was throwing for her friend and husband. Then it was "I wonder if you could do table place names", then "OH! could you do a few tags for parting gifts!" "Do you have time to make me a card?" Of course I said yes and happy to do it for her.
The card to start with, I had a paper pad with silver and white paper, after being die cut, it was placed onto white and silver card which had also been die cut. I die cut a 2 corner pieces and die cut them again with a doily design shape. More die cutting with hearts and champagne glass shapes. I had placed the photo into Silhouette and cut around it with another heart that was used as a base.

Sewing PopUp card
Hi Everyone, after a busy week I have time to do a post. This was for my youngest SiL, who is a marvellous sewer, so much so, she has been to Paris, yes in France! to have a lesson on a couture jacket and how it's made. Anyhow, because it was her birthday, I decided to do something different for her. It's a cut file that I put together with papers from my stash. I was lucky to find a piece of the sewing paper and just enough of it to make this box, I may even have enough (just) to make it for hubby's Sister, also a sewer, who's birthday is in November. After cutting it all out on my digital cutting machine, I drew the lines on the leaves and added gems to the flowers. It was fiddly, but the effect when finished is quite impressive, (I hope you think so too?) It folds flat for postage. I'm glad to say she was thrilled with it.
I thought it was more like a gift than a card, so I made a quick digital card for her also.

I added a piece of gold thread to add a little interest.
Well that's all from me at the moment, we still have our family problems, but who hasn't at this time. Everyone I talk to has some sort of problem. I hope you're not one of them. Take care.

Penguin fun
Hi Everyone, I hope you are all well. A quickie post just to show you my penguin makes. I love, love these fun little gifts, so easy to make and fun to receive, I know, as one of my brothers and his wife have had a couple of already.
They are quick and easy to make with my Silhouette and I love doing something like this for Christmas and even as little gifts in the year too, OK! not as penguins, but you know what I mean. You could even fussy cut these, with perhaps a die for the hole. There is a pdf file included template for them. Anyhow, here they are.
We need something to cheer us up, as we are into tier 4 lockdown on the 28th. Our main hospital is at crisis point. Wales as a whole isn't doing good with this virus. We are being so careful, only going out for food supplies and they last as long as possible, usually at least 2 weeks. Thank goodness for my Mum who had learned, in bad times, how to make something out of nothing and taught me.
