Stamping and digital die cutting?

Hi Everyone, I hope you're all well and things are good with you. Today I have something I never thought I would be able to do. Stamping and cutting out with the digital die cutting machine !

I saw a YouTube video that showed how to do it, (I've lost the link sorry) so I tried and although it's a little time consuming for layering, I think it may be OK occasionally, if wanted for a special card? I'm glad I tried it though.

Anyhow, this is the card I did. I printed cutting registration marks out, then stamped onto the marked printed paper, I scanned them into my PC. I merged them to my machine program, traced them and added an outline, as if they were die cut. I then put the registration marked and stamped paper into my machine and cut them.

When they had been cut, I coloured the cut stamps with DI's.

I have this lovely blue pearlised paper in my stash, I wanted to emboss it, but was interrupted by a telephone call, I came back to my desk and carried on attaching the stamps with dimensionals to the paper, when I had added it all to the card, I realised I hadn't embossed. Must be an old age thing or too many things in my old mind hahaha.

I've added the images of the procedure, although, I guess, not many of you have a digital cutting machine. However it just shows what can be done.

here is my card
stamps are Magazine freebies from SCPC
inks - DI's
blue paper - stash
drops - Nuvo Crystal Drops gold

I haven't given instructions, just shown how I did it, but if of you are interested please contact me and I'll explain what to do. This means that you can still stamp and emboss and then add it to a coloured background.

the left over "die cut" paper
where you see the words on the top left, my paper moved on the cutting mat during cutting,  so I just used the images that cut OK.

Learner driver

Hi Everyone, would you believe it I am posting a "fresh" post, meaning not scheduled. Thank you all for your support and kind messages, things are so much better with my brother. I just need other things to go the same way and life will be much easier. I guess that's what a lot of people feel like.

It was my GNiece's 17th birthday and she was going to get her learner license and a driving lesson on her birthday, so I just had to do a card for her containing both.

I used the car die that I had used here and stamped a woman this time, onto to the acetate window. I searched the web for a map of the area she lives in and used that as a background. I computer generated the 17th birthday leaving a gap for the "L", which I fussy cut out. I cased the saying from the web and added 17 to make it relevant. The sentiment was stamped and cut with a die. Quite simple, but it took ages because of the map searching.

I hope to be able to do a post more regularly now. I have a few cards I have done for family birthdays, so that should keep me posting a few times and hopefully I will start making cards again soon.

Snake Beach

Hi Everyone here I am with my DT card for today, it's for the challenge at QKR. Our challenge is on the 1st and 15th of every month, so you have 2 chances every month to enter the challenge.

We will select two winners each of the weeks
1 using QKR Stampede  or Eureka Stamps image
 and 1 using any image!

Anything Goes every 1st & 15th of the month

I had done this snake HERE but decided to do her again as I loved it so much, this is completely different, I think you'll agree.

I print and cut her on the digital cutting machine, I made her pink with DI's, I thought she would be a little sunburnt at the beach? and heat embossed to give her a shine, (she's got lots of suntan cream on)? The dp background is one I've had a long time, I added a sun on which I did rays in gold pen and sparkle pen on the face of the sun. The snake had to have some friends at the beach so I added the star fish and crab dies. I placed the beach sentiment and my card was done. I have to admit she makes me smile.

Lion King!

Hi Everyone, I am slowly getting back into the run of things. Thank you for your many messages of support, I can't tell you how I have appreciated them.

Anyhow, I have a card today that I made during my down time, for our Great Great Nephew, who was one in August. He is a little Leo, so I decided to use a Disney Lion. I downloaded him amongst others, many years ago as freebie, from the Disney website.

I couldn't think of anything to do at the time, so decided to case one of my own cards  here

I used the Silhouette to print and cut my images and shapes, including his name, at the time I needed quick and easy. I printed one layer of his name and added 3 white layers to offset as a shadow effect. The lion is 3 layers also, laid onto an oval shape, cut with the Cameo. The stars are 2 layers, the 1 is 3D'd. As is the star it's attached to. I embossed the background for a little texture. Everything placed onto gold mirror card. The only colouring on this are the edges of the stars. The sentiment was printed also and added to the bottom. Very simple, but as much as I could manage.

name/number - KAagard alpha
paper/stars - Just So Scrappy

I wasn't too sure what to do with this wonderful Baking Mama Bear but I love the image, I decided to go fun when I found this sentiment, I think it suits her and it could have been I was thinking that day?

I coloured her in Distress inks, after printing her out onto a coloured background and including the pinafore and sentiment. I cut out the rectangle shape after colouring her and layered it onto black card as I did with the papers and the cupcake. I then glazed her eyes.

Oyez!

Hi Everyone, I have 3 DT cards today, this is for the challenge at QKR.

I did this card for our son, who's birthday was in the middle of August, he doesn't like me reminding him of his age, I've told you before - BUT I HAVE To. I think it's funny. Bless him don't you feel sorry for him? 😄

I saw this image and to remind him he's getting on, I thought medieval would work! Well he loved the Game of Thrones, so thought it around the same period?

I looked for a castle image in my files, such strange images I have and this popped up in the middle of lots of castle examples. Perfect I thought! We have lots of castles in Wales, however I couldn't find my photos of them without a lot of searching! I should have named them!

I printed the background and the digi with the sentiment included, I used the medieval term of Oyez! I then painted it in DI's, which didn't go too well onto the card I used sadly, I think I got away with it though. Next I layered the whole image onto black card. Then some glaze, I love adding glaze to these images, the eyes are so expressive.

inks - Distress inks
glaze - Nuvo Crystal Glaze
castle -  Digital Scrapbooking at Pixelscrapper.
lots of other mixed dp for the road and grass

Natures Bounty TMR

Hi Everyone, I have 3 DT cards today, this is for

It's Nature's Bounty, so I decided to use stamps with some seeds/fruit of the season. At least stamps that I had!

I coloured 2 pieces of card with DO's, one for the sentiment and one for the border on the card. I stamped the sentiment with black ink and fussy cut it out, then layered it onto black card and fussy cut it again. Next I stamped over the second coloured card with black ink and coloured the fruit with DI's. I loved the colours that came out with the DI's onto the DO's. I added gold mica powder to parts of the seeds/fruit and splattered it onto the rest of the card. I'm now thinking that perhaps I should also have splattered it onto the white card. I may do that.

I added a car die cut of gold card and stamped a man's head onto the acetate window. The wheels are from black card. I thought it could be someone off for fun and to collect Natures Bounteous seeds/fruits of the season? OH! dear the way my mind works!

All stamps and dies are freebies from SCP magazine
