Stencil & tags and something different

Hi Everyone, my card today was inspired by looking through challenges and I decided to try and make something quickly, this is the result. I've definitely been in a "make it if it HAS to be made" mode for a while now. I'm hoping this will start something off in me to just make cards for whenever.

I stencilled some card and die cut labels out, then got stuck and tried everything. I would be better off planning a card, but that's not me. In the end I added some dotty buttons, to match the dotty stencil and some die cuts that were leaf shape and one was dotty, then added some gold leaves for luck! Simple, even nearly CAS?

I missed the challenge, OH! well, at least I have a card. I found another though!

I also have something different! You know me hahaha. Anyhow, I was looking for something little and different to add to presents for my Son's birthday, and thought a T-shirt. I bought a plain white one, as I had had a freebie through my email. The face originally was white, so I coloured it in a lion colour in Photoshop and added a quote I saw on the web.

I didn't have Heat Transfer Vinyl to use the svg cut file, so I used Transfer sheets to print it onto, then ironed the sheet onto the T-shirt to make the print permanent. SO easy and quick to do with the correct paper. Print, iron for 20 seconds - done. I've included the links for these, as it was so easy for anyone to do with any image. The print lasts through a LOT of washes too, I've had one for a number of years, used around the house now, that still has the print showing well. I hope my son gets the same usage out of this T-shirt hahaha

Seahorse ATC TMR

Hi Everyone, my post today is for

I'm not one to do ATC's, BUT, here I am with my version. I just thought of the sea and looked through my stamps, then stamped 2 shells and the sentiment, I coloured the shells in, so they could be seen.

I found a snippet of paper I could cut down to the size of the ATC and remembered I had a cut file of swimming fish, which I made smaller in Silhouette and cut it to make a stencil. I used one of the cut out fishes to add to the die cut leaves in the corner, which is also a cut out from a larger die.

I die cut the seahorse, out of another small piece of the paper, but it didn't look good, so I cut it again out of cream card and coloured it slightly. The darker first one was used as a shadow. I then decided to add some twine and made it into a Figure 8 knot, that is used while sailing. (That's what it said in the instructions on how to tie it.) In the end, I am quite pleased with how it looks.

Bananas?

Hi Everyone, I have 2 DT cards today, I hope you will be able to visit each of them, this is for -

Anything Goes but they MUST feature a critter as the main focus
Whether Furry, Feathered, Fantasy, Fairytale,
Scaly, or Insect, there must be a critter...

I have a lot of animal digital stamps from many designers, and this was one I found by looking for "animals" in my files. It has been ignored for too long. I took it into my Cameo and added 3 layers of the monkey, the background and a sentiment, to which I added a banana frame I made. I printed them all out, then cut them out with my Cameo.

I coloured the background in different greens and coloured the monkeys top layer and attached it to the other monkey layers and 3D'd glazed the noses, before adding it to the background layer. It was attached to a printed background of banana digital paper which had been attached to a brown layer card. The sentiment was 3D'd then attached to the bottom of the card.

sentiment - Create with TLC

Just a note, I was told by 2 of you that you use the Reading List, I hadn't even realised it was there or what it was for - duh! SO! You should be seeing me now, even those I haven't visited in maybe years, that I followed and lost. My apologies to you all.

NEWS Boy QKR

Hi Everyone, my card today is one of 2 DT cards this one for

We will select two winners each of the weeks
1 using QKR Stampede  or Eureka Stamps image
 and 1 using any image!

Anything Goes every 1st & 15th of the month

This is such a great image to add any message under the News headline. I decided that the card I was making would be great for some men in the family who are getting a little older! I like to rub it in, hahaha.

I took the digital stamp into Silhouette and cut out 3 layers of the News Boy and the sentiments, in a speech bubble shape, I got from Photoshop. I coloured his face in water colour pencils and the rest of the image in DI's and added some tiny wobbly eyes I have had for an age. All pieces were glued together and 3D'd to a background which I had dry embossed and shaded with DI's.

image - News Boy QKR Stampede
Inks - Distress Inks mermaid lagoon, tumbled glass, carved pumpkin hickory smoke.
watercolour pencils - Nuvo Skin tones
embossing folder - Dry Stone Wall Crafters Companion

It would be great to see you at the Challenge.

Police helmet

Hi Everyone, I'm still in trouble with Blogger, but I have clicked on certain blogs in the email and have been able to go through to them, but not all. I'll keep trying and see what happens.

My card today is for my Godsons's son, who has followed his father into the Police. He has just "Passed Out" so I made this card for him. I looked online for a British "Bobby" hat and was able to download one and take it into my Silhouette and make a background for it to sit on. The helmet shape is out of black card and the background layer is silver mirror card. I loved that the badge was included, so cut that too. Sounds so simple, doesn't it? But it did take me a little while to get the background, as the helmet was in parts. Before adding it to the card with 3D pads, I curved it a little and curved the front down.

I also added and cut the sentiment in Silhouette.  I didn't think there should be any embellishments, although thinking about it now, perhaps handcuffs, OH! Well, too late now, he should have received it by now.

helmet - PNGKEY
sentiment font - Flitte

I also did another card after it. I had been out to The Range and found a few dies that were silly prices, so I bought them! As you do. They are small, so I thought I had better see what they were like on a card, or had I made a silly buy. Well, it turns out I was pleased with the size.

I decided to see what I could do with an all die card, and this is the result. I cut all the flower and the butterfly dies, (they were £1.99) and coloured them simply with marker pens, then die cut a square and coloured with DO's to match the flowers. I cut a couple of butterflies to add as I thought it a little plain, I have real difficulty with CAS cards. Do you think I could have left the butterflies off? I also added a frame around the whole and added a die cut sentiment also.

Flower Dies - Violet Studio Designs (Crafters Companion)
inks - Distress Oxides shaded lilac, tumbled glass, worn lipstick
markers - Spectrum Noir
frame - Sue Wilson, square Noble dies
frame butterflies - Tattered Lace
central square die and sentiment die - forgotten - sorry

BLOGGER plea

Hi Everyone, just a short post. Is anyone having trouble with Bloglovin. I haven't been able to access it for 4 / 5 days. I have contacted them, with no answer.

It just keeps telling me -

Sorry, this page isn't available

The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed.

Please know I have not been ignoring you, but trying every few hours to see if it is back online, OR is it only me.

The only Blogs I have commented on are the ones that I have with an email link or the ones through "Follow it". I'd appreciate any comments about this, or ways to get back in, I am signed in by the way. I miss your blogs 😒

Just a couple of photos of the garden so you can see piccies as well as my plea!

a new pompom Dahlia for us

this Carnation was a cutting from a bouquet from last year

the top right of the garden, just showing, to the left,  the steps Hubby decided to make a couple of weeks ago. Not bad for an old man ay? hahaha

these were supposed to be outdoor trailing tomatoes! hubby added a shelf underneath the garage window facing onto the garden, we have tomatoes growing, so we'll see if they are "cherry" type or normal when they grow. HOWEVER! the right plant had one of its stems snap in the wind and rain of recent days. It had lots of tomatoes to ripen, too. Boo Hoo.

Post Box

Hi Everyone, a card today being sent over the pond. I thought it would hopefully be British enough? I stamped the image and using a mask I made and cut from the stamped image, then added little odd stamps to make more of a scene, I coloured everything in DI's, the tree was sponged to make it a Summer tree with a  makeup sponge. I 3D'd the main image onto the card base. That simple really. I hope it's liked.
