Elegant lady?

Hi everyone, I want to thank you all for your suggestions on remembering birthdays, that I asked about a few weeks ago. I think I'll try a couple, at least one of them should work ay?

My card today was for one of my SiLs, I saw this file recently and had to have it, I followed the suggested colours, but changed them slightly.

The whole file was taken into my Silhouette and I cut each piece out. Putting them together, I inked some edges. It was quite straight forward, like die cuts, when I put the pieces together on my desk first. I was lucky to find in my paper pads a similar pattern for the collar and sleeves. The grey pieces are silver mirror card.

I wanted some sort of sentiment and found one that I had bought in a recent sale, just perfect methinks. I couldn't add it to the curved section of the main card, so stamped it on the same card, cut to fit, and added it to the corner.

I know a lot of you won't understand my liking for my Silhouette, but I love it, and appreciate how it can cut any size I want. I only hope my SiL will like the card.

Lovely make, I know your s-i-l will love it!
I must have missed you asking for suggestions, was it about remembering to make or mail cards? I have a 6x6 (12x12 paper folded and stapled) with each month on a page where I record each person's birthday. Then, I use that to type in their birthdays on a monthly calendar that I download online free and then save and print. I can print 3 months at a time on one letter size sheet and I hang that up next to my monitor. I never add a new birthday on the printed sheets, also in my 6x6 master book! I've had a few mix ups but overall it's worked great for me. Hard part is looking AHEAD on the calendar to mail on time, lol. XOX

This is beautifully put together Faith and a pretty image with a fun sentiment...I'm sure your SIL will love it this wonderful card. Sorry your original calendar for birthdays etc has changed to something different which isn't so user friendly. I usually use a calendar I have hanging in the kitchen which has all the card dates and names of recipient hightlighted..a bit basic but it mainly works. x
