Hello everyone, what a week we have had, no I'll correct that, what weeks we have had, just 2 days dry in the last 2 weeks, it's been rain and more rain, it seems for months. I wonder if we will have a dry summer? Look out, you have been warned quite a few photos to follow.
The garden it is sodden, even just stepping on it feels like a bog. As for the lawn, I think we will have to scythe it to begin with, it's so high. Now's your time to flick to my card 😉
a 2 inch deep puddle on the patio after a morning of rain.
It's not even March, and we have wonderful bright and sunny daffodils in the front garden, with lots of other blooms too. I am posting a daffodil card! I have a friend who has been through a lot with her husband being ill, so I thought a sunny card is needed for her birthday.
Anyhow, I had the daffodil wreath in my files, I print and cut it out twice with my silhouette, glued it together and attached it to the base card. Next I stamped and die cut a sentiment. The main daffodils and leaves were then die cut, out of coloured card, and attached to the wreath.

It's been much the same here Faith, the orchard is back under water and this morning like a skating rink as we had a hard frost, what contrasts. Everything was breaking early but fear this will put them back.
But your lovely Daffodil card is a nice reminder of Spring.

As for the gardens, my lawn is just so sodden, I fear the worse I really do, never known a winter to be as wet as this, although we did laugh in the week that if we manage to get a few short weeks of sunshine, the water board will no doubt put us all on stand pipes, haha...heaven help us. BTW I love your Camellia, its so petty and the colour is stunning. xx

The rain will be a blessing as the year progresses, replenishing the rivers and underground water, but at ground level it's a pain and depressing the longer it drags on. We're having a wet winter also and grateful for every ray of sun. Hope you have a good weekend, xoxo
It really has been a dire spell of weather Faith, doesn’t help with the motivation for getting out and doing any exercise I find!! You have got some lovely plants and shrubs in your garden though. This really is a gorgeous bright and cheerful card for your friend, beautiful sunny colours and some fab techniques used.

It rained or snowed for most of January where I live, but we did have sunshine this past week but the rains are on the way again for this weekend. Sunshine and warmer temps next week however. Your garden photos are amazing in spite of all the rain. The hyacinth is just stunning along with all the other flowers. Your daffodil card looks so pretty inside and outside. It's sure to bring smiles.
WOW and I thought we had had loads of rain!Neve known a Winter like it but had two cold sunny days enough to get washing dry lol.LOve all the shrubs our garden is very neglected after John had his heart attack whick progressed his dementia-keeps falling and having infections in both feet-doesn't even go out of the house.At least our snowdrops and mini daffs are flowering. Gorgeous card inside and out,love the beautiful daffodil wreath.

Hi Faith we have had similar weather here I cannot get out on the garden and the old ladies next door was like a swimming pool I worry about the bulbs that won't be out until summer just hope that they survive, anyway you have brought so much sunshine into peoples lives today with this wonderful, amazing creation those flowers look amazing

I know, the rain has been relentless and we are not used to it here in Suffolk. My garden is full of spring flowers too, it is quite worrying as it is still February. we had a frost this morning though, so that will slow them down a bit. I love your card. I have those magazine freebie daffodils. Thanks for reminding me about them xx

The rain can be awful sometimes Faith, we went through a terrible storm last year and the damage was astronomical for our town so hope it settles down for you and hope you are safe and dry...what a gorgeous card with those beautiful daffodils, inside and outside, just stunning...

It’s a beautiful card Faith and your garden photos are lovely. I’m on holiday again in Fuerteventura so missing out on all the rain but yesterday was very windy so more of a walking than beach day xx

I love your garden posts Faith! What a lovely display you have, even though it's been so wet. By the laws of averages it should never rain again after all the wet weather we've had this winter! We crafters have to make our own sunshine and you have done just that with this bright and beautiful daffodil themed card. The wreath is gorgeous and the inside is just a riot of sunny colour - it would cheer anyone up! Vicky x

We have had lots of rain here too but thankfully some dry days in between. Your poor garden has not enjoyed that at all I am sure! As for your card, it would lift anyone's spirits for sure. Just beautiful Faith!

What a gorgeous card, Faith! My mom's birthday was in March and my dad always gave her a bouquet of daffodils, so your card brings back many happy memories. The weather here near Chicago has been crazy. Yesterday we were in short-sleeved shirts huddling in the cellar as a tornado blew over us, and today I'm bundled up for freezing temps and icy surfaces. No damage to my neighborhood thank goodness, but there were three touchdowns.

Your daffodil wreath is a beauty Faith, and the paper on the inside of the card is so pretty too. Some lovely photos of your garden and I think it has been the same everywhere with some rain more or less every day, and as I am writing this we have had several days of rain, just so depressing. x
