Guest ELF at Christmas Kick-Start Challenge

Hi Everyone, I was delighted and thrilled to be asked by Jo, to be Guest Elf for October at the Christmas Kick-Start Challenge #91

We discussed what theme to work on, and both agreed very quickly, it was to be a colour theme, with the lovely mix of colours below.

As soon as I saw the colours, a Gnome came into my head, WHAAT? I hear you say, yes I have a strange thought pattern as many of you know.  Anyhow, I found my loved Gnome and stamped him, and his present. Both were die cut and then coloured. The hands and present were 3D'd onto the body.

Next it was the background, I blended the sky, and blended the snow. It was then I stamped the church and trees, I wanted that far away look, so they were also stamped in the blues I had used for the snow. The background was cut to size and layered onto navy card. I then stamped the sentiment, again in blue. My lovely Gnome was 3D'd in the middle of the card, for his hat to emphasise the church.

I felt it needed some sparkle so added Stickles Frosted Lace along the snow, trees, and church.

Halloween gift box CCC

Hi Everyone, number 1 of my DT makes today is for -

Critter Crazy

Whether Furry, Feathered, Fantasy, Fairytale,
Scaly, or Insect, there must be a critter.

I decided to do something different today. I have been looking through my files, and have so many things I haven't used, that I decided now was the time for this fun Bat to make an appearance. It is Halloween at the end of the month, after all.

The file is an svg, so I took it into my Silhouette, or digital die cut machine, and cut it out. There were quite a few pieces, the black pieces are attached to the main box on each side, but it was fun putting it together and to use some ribbon, again I don't use enough of it. It's 10 inches (25.4 centimetres) long. I was so excited to get it finished, I forgot to ink around the bat! I'll do so for the others I make, even make them a little smaller, hoping we have some visitors this Halloween, it's not a big thing around here. Although, I'm sure it will be a treat if they do come.
