A scrapbook page!

Hi Everyone, another couple of scrapbook pages. Both completely different feelings in each. My #2 brother's birthday is today and I don't like to let it pass without doing something. This year a scrapbook page. I really enjoyed putting this together with a photo of when he was about 14-16 years of age. I duplicated the page and changed it to Father for his 3 daughters. I added daffodils as it was something the girls had as a memory at his funeral. I love the fact that being digital, I can send a copy to his daughters so they can print or just keep as is.

Then I decided to make another of my son as a lad. We lived in Saudi Arabia at the time and he was a Boy Scout, a very proud one. I coloured the template elements to match the photo, then added papers where I thought they should be.

I love the contrast between these layouts, Faith. The vintage look with a pop of colour is perfect for your tribute to your brother and the second one has a more sunny and playful feel. Seems such a long time since my boys were boy scouts lol!
Hope you are keeping well and have a good weekend.

Oh Faith, I love these layouts! The one for your brother is so beautiful! I didn't realize that he passed a year before Dwayne. I love that you put a memory for his daughters with the daffodils. Handsome boy he was. I love the quote, it is so true isn't it?! I know his daughters will treasure this amazing layout. I can't believe how different the second layout of Chris is. I love it too, I love the bold colors of the Boy Scouts and the sweet photo of Chris. He does indeed look very proud as he should have been. You do so great with these digital layouts, but then you do so well with all digital stuff!!! Hugs, Brenda

You make beautiful scrapbook pages, Faith.
You are so much better on the digital work than I am,
but I like the paper and the paint on my hands :-)
These pages have such fantastic atmosphere that you created.

The first treasured layout of your brother is such a beautiful keepsake for his children and I know they will be thrilled to receive it. How thoughtful of you to keep his memory alive in such a beautiful way! The photo of your son is just adorable as he gives the proper salute of a boy scout! Love how you got the photo layered with the stars and scout logo. Two wonderful pages!
