Hedgehog

Hi Everyone, sorry I've not been around as much, things have been a little difficult, but now improved and hopefully I am back with a few things to show you.

My card today is a cutie and quite a simple card, the hedgehog is from a digital stamp designer who I thought was new to me and has the cutest of images. I then realised I had used her images before HERE & HERE the image for this one is where Theresa actually made this as a request from me, after winning my choice of image in a challenge, how coincidental is that?

I coloured the Hedgehog with Distress inks, I'm not a good colourist, but tried to get the spiny effect of a hedgehog, the background is digital paper cut with a die, the background is embossed with a wood EF, which I thought matched the theme, the sentiment is stamped on die cut circles with twine added.

image - Henry Hedgie TNT Artspiration
Distress inks - Brushed Corduroy, Vintage Photo, Ground Espresso,
Pumice Stone, Antique Linen,  Seedless Preserve.
dp - Creative Fabrika
sentiment -  free Simply Cards & Papercraft #208
EF - Crafters Companion
twine - The Range
circle dies - Tonic

I thought I would show you our harvest this week,
we are STILL picking Runner Beans and this is what we had this week so far. We have never had the beans this late in the year. There are still plenty more if the weather holds as it is - wet and mildish!

A super card Faith, such a cute hedgehog.
Wow! You are lucky to still be picking runner beans, ours lasted quite well but they have finished now - still got plenty of tomatoes in the greenhouse though.

Hey, Faith, I am glad things have improved! I have been MIA, too but only because of my religious holidays which will end tomorrow night at sundown.

I love your card! The hedgie is adorable and your card sings fall!

Ohhh! I just love fresh beans!! I've still got some tomatoes and peppers in my garden, despite it being mid-October!!

Your card is adorable! The wood-grain embossed background is just perfect behind your sweet little hedgehog!

I'm sorry things have been rough and thankful that they're getting better.

It's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada so I'll wish you a happy Thanksgiving!!

Oh, I do wish I was sharing some of those beans with you. Green beans are favorites in my garden. Didn't get any in this year. :-D As to the hedgie card - it's magnificent! I know Teresa must love it. Lovely autumn feel to it and I do adore the wood grain background.

The hedgie is adorable Faith and beautifully coloured - you definitely get an idea of how prickly he is! Those beans look fresh as the morning and I bet they're delicious! Thanks for your book recommendation. Not sure if I can handle harrowing although uplifting sounds just the ticket!! Hugs, Vicky x

Awww, I love your little hedgie card Faith! I think you did a great job of coloring him and you did great getting him to look spikey! The baby he is on is awesome, so earthy and natural. I love the dry embossing too. My favorite color is autumn too! lol Wow, look at those beans! They look so yummy. Are they like our string beans or like our snap peas? They look really good! Hugs, Brenda
