Re-Cycle!

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for
I didn't have a clue apart from using a drinks can again, but I saw this card by Karen and an idea hit me. Whether it is successful is up to you!

I cut pages from hubby's tools magazine, he loves it and has to have the new one every time it comes out. As it's quite new I had to select pages he wouldn't look at again. Well it is for a male card after all LOL.

I then cut them into strips and weaved them together. they were so light I put a strip of double sided tape in an L shape on my glass mat to hold them in place while weaving. I glued them to card to give substance then die cut them and embossed it.

I'm not a CAS style Gal, so went looking for background paper to add the card , then realised the car was too fussy to add a busy background, I wondered what do you stampers and painters do? You add paint splatters, so that's what I did - but digitally! Maybe even this is too much? I added an edge to the printed piece with Spectrum Noir Markers.

car - Sweet Dixie Die
paints platters - Blue Flower Art at Digichick

I had some left over pieces from this card, so used them to frame the car.

As I had some drinks can cut left from another card I die cut the sentiment. I think I can truly say this is a recycled card.

Riding

Hi Everyone, today's card is for my Niece, who's world is her horse and riding her. Every year I add a horse to her card or at least something horsey!

This year, I was looking for ideas online and came across THIS card which I thought absolutely perfect, so I cased her card, (which I added in a comment on her card that I would do.)

The Riding outfit is a Silhouette Store purchase,
the horses, which I made into the shapes on the Cameo are from SVG cuts.
I just added a little glitter with a Uniball gold glitter pen.
The birthday greeting die is by Tonic, I think it looks like a winners garland.

Daffodils!

Hi Everyone, my card today is of daffodils! Yep! one of my favourite Spring flowers. It's for the Outlawz sketch challenge this week. I got to the end of the card and wondered how I had chosen things! autopilot? or short term memory loss, old age? I don't know, but, I really like it's colours. Anyhow here it is -

dp's - Aimee Harrison
I had them in 2012, so shouldn't think they are still available,
such a shame as it's a beautiful kit.
freebie border - Penny Duncan
again not sure if it is still available.
all card - Dovecraft
daffodil flower - Silhouette store, using sketch pens before cutting
everything cut on the cameo.

this is the sketch for this week

Seeing as my subject is Daffodils! I thought I would show you a scrapbook page of our Spring flowers BEFORE the big freeze we are being promised comes in next week, and I expect, ruins them?

These were taken on 22nd February a cloudier day, but made better with the colours of these flowers.

Alphabet Angel

Hi Everyone, today's card was for a friend of mine, who rang to remind me it was her birthday and she wanted an angel on her card. She rings me every year to remind me. She knows me too well methinks. LOL

image "An Angels Alphabet" - Hugware
sadly no longer available, it's a watercolor image so it's not too sharp.
I used the "S" angel for my friends name.
background die  - Sheena Douglas
butterfly and flower dies magazine freebies - Simply Cards & Papercraft #173
card - Dovecraft
I added Versamark and clear embossing to her to add shine,
then some glitter glue to her wings

Wild Roses

Hi Everyone, today's card is for the Progressive challenge at the Outlawz, we have been given the most beautiful image to play with.
Wild Roses -  Beccy Muir
I coloured the roses in PS
which I copied to my Cameo to cut the layers out.
although I did fussy cut the top 2 layers.
I wanted it quite simple so looked for a die to put behind it,
then thought of a PS shape and cut it with my Cameo,
adding a dry embossed folder that was a freebie from a magazine.
I added a doily behind the cut shape to add more texture.
The sentiment is from Create with TLC
I didn't think it needed anything else, the image says it all.

these are the layers from side on
