Polar Pals

Hi Everyone, I have a DT post for Deedee's Digis today, this is for the SSW2 Sketch Challenge that Deedee is sponsoring. However before we go to my card and the info, Deedee has a wonderful sale on, now is your chance to grab plenty of images, she is being VERY generous in her offer.

Now onto my card, this was a great sketch to work with and I had great papers and images to work with from Deedee. I laid it out and coloured the bear and seal in PS, (I used the outline images in the kit) then saved it all as a png file and had my Cameo to print and cut the images. I then 3D'd the bear and seal. I am LOVING that feature. I think the most difficult thing I had to do on this card was get the 4 squares straight when glueing them down. LOL

Comments!

Hi Everyone, after MANY MANY hours of changing so many settings on my blog I have now reverted to plain ole Blogger, This will mean that you will now be able to comment without joining any other site or blog.  Shame is I have lost ALL comments for the last 10 days. I can put up with that as long as you can all comment now.

Thank you for your patience. It's taken me a long while but I am there.

In case any of you have had the same trouble I am posting a "help" answer from the Google Help forum. I haven't included my replies as I thought this is the information most of you would want if you were in this position.

Hi +Daffodil Cards you need to sign in to Blogger, click your blog name, open the Google+ settings on the left menu, then de-select the option to "Use Google+ comments on this blog". If that doesn't work, the best place to get assistance is the official Blogger help forum: productforums.google.com/forum/#!forum/blogger

+Daffodil Cards you need to have a Google+ Profile connected to Blogger to be able to change that setting. So be sure you are using Google+ with your Blogger account. Once you have disabled Google+ comments, you can then delete your Google+ Profile.

Swinging Snowman

Hi Everyone a quick post of a quickly done card that I made for the Outlawz sketch challenge. I am always struggling to get this done, time goes so very quickly when your having fun doesn't it?

Anyhow, my card was mad with a ready coloured image from Dearie Dolls, I love her work, I don't use them enough. I made the bottom shape in my Cameo and shortened a part of a file from Shirley's Cards, even the photo was taken in a hurry at night, at least it shows the OTT sparkle.

Cardinal birds

Hi Everyone, I was lucky enough to have the digi of the Cardinal birds from Javacardlineart, it's a bird that doesn't come to the UK, so I'm afraid I didn't really have any real knowledge of its colours, I knew it was red and that's all. I looked it up on the web and copied the colours and this is my offering, I also saw that it eats berries and I had just the right paper from Paper Garden Projects.

I coloured the birds in PS and placed elements from PGP's Holiday Home Digital kit behind them, I added DP from the kit and the leaves and berries and circled them in the wreath also from the kit, then finished the sketch layout with DP's and more elements from the kit. I print and cut on the Cameo and layered it all on silver mirror card. I added Tonic Glitter on the berries and mirror gems. I made 3 of them at the same time, I'll send these to cousins in Ohio and Florida, who will know the birds.

Christmas card

Hi everyone, I am so glad to be back creating for Paper Garden Projects, Cathy has been out of designing for a little while and is now back with the most beautiful papers and elements for Christmas, I couldn't wait to get my hands on them, although they aren't just for Christmas! If you go to the link you can even get a wonderful freebie she has there.

Here is my card I laid it out in PS and print and cut on my Cameo, there is a choice in the kit of a border around the elements or not, depending on what you want it for. I used the flowers with the border, to use with the Cameo. I added gems to the berries and the flowers, even the sentiment is included. I am so excited about these papers and elements, they really are beautiful.

Model and butterflies

Hi Everyone, a card, to share with you, for my Great Niece, she is 19, when I saw this image by Javalineart I just knew it could be used for her.

I laid everything out and coloured it in PS following the sketch. I also embossed the leaf shape and the diagonal paper across the centre. After printing it all out and layering, I added glitter glue and butterfly dies and a few gems. Then embossed the greeting on the side and went over it with blue metal gilding wax, I have had it for years and didn't know what to do with it until recently! LOL.

I also cut the edge of the blue layer with decorative scissors, something that has been lurking in the back of a cupboard for a long long while.

I chose the colours when I read that topaz and yellow was the November stone colours.

Santa and his cup!

Hi Everyone, a second post today as I have a card from a new (to me) designer HN. I was introduced to him by Hetty who wrote on her blog.

In Monika Reeck's Etsy shop you find some wonderful
coffee images for only a few dollars. The images are drawn
by her Indonisian friend HN and he can do so much more
with these dollars in his country. Please take a look and see if you can
support him by buying a digital stamp.
Have you never used digital stamps?
Well HERE you find some more explanation what to
do with these digital images.

Anyhow here is one of the digis it is "Santa with a cup of coffee". I love this "modern" Santa, he could be anyone's Dad - oops! sorry Santa, I only meant he was dressed up as you!

I laid it all out and coloured it in PS following the sketch. I changed the colour of the quote to match the papers. I used my Cameo to print & cut the centre pieces, then 3D'd them. Some sparkle voila!
