WLSC Spring has Sprung

This month, we would love to see your cards with the theme

I saw this stamp set and had to have it, I thought it cute.  My mojo is still on holiday, so a sketch from 2013 for inspiration this time.

I stamped the girl, then the raindrops, can you spot my deliberate mistake? The raindrops are upside down, duh! I then die cut it, with a larger size to layer. Next I went looking for umbrellas in my files, and found these fab papers, so perfect for what I wanted and forgotten about.

The girl was coloured with DI's and I simply watercoloured a background to match the papers, which were cut to fit the 6x6 base card. I then stamped the sentiment. They were all layered and placed to match the sketch, but I also wanted a couple of umbrellas on the paper to show, and the "singing in the rain" showing too.

I think I may go to a couple more sketches, perhaps I'll get some mojo back. I really enjoyed making this card, even though a couple of things could have been better.

Spring weather we had last week, lots of hail, the photo was taken after it had melted a bit, the reflection as it was taken inside.

Your garden is looking lovely and neat Faith. Shame about that hail though . . . no wonder you stayed indoors to take the pic! Brrrr!

Your card has a lovely layout and a sweet image, if you hadn't mentioned the raindrops' orientation, no-one would have noticed! xxx

Beautiful card Faith, love the cute image and wouldn't have noticed the rain drops either if you hadn't said. Love the sketch you used and your p, papers. Beautiful garden despite the hail-sadly ours is a complete disaster at the moment-the only bright spots are all the bluebells and my beautiful red acer in full leaf.

We've had some mixed weather as well, but most of the plants seem to think it's Spring. A very cute card and lovely take on the sketch.

That little girl is adorable, Faith. Love your colouring and the fun layout for the card. I wouldn't have noticed the drops being upside down. :) I have done that before with script. I didn't notice until I posted it and saw the photo. :) Your garden is so pretty and well kept. Lovely to see the colours of the spring flowers popping up. :) xx

Funny Ive been seeing alot of upside down raindrops lately on projects so it must be the 'in' thing :-) Such a delightful card and image to remind us their is something joyful in the rain and of course it is needed for the beautiful flowers to grow x

That looks like a stormy start to spring, Faith... we are having plenty of rain, thunder and wind at the moment, but the forecast shows a few fine days coming up, hopefully!!
Love your sweet card, it's come together beautifully

Faith your card is so lovely. What a cute little image! I'm keeping everything crossed that all these April showers and hail will bring those May flowers to cheer my garden up. You have a beautiful garden yourself. Hope the sun shines soon!

Ugh, hail is never okay! I've seen and felt grapefruit/softball-sized, not good! But your garden survived quite nicely, so lovely! As is your cute card. Love how you positioned everything slightly askew of the horizon. It totally pops that way. xoxo

Sorry I seem to have missed this one Faith. What a gorgeous card, that girl is so sweet.
I love the garden pics. people get shocked at getting hail in April but I remember a time we got snow at Easter, it wasn't that out of the ordinary. Take care. xx

Cute card! As for hail, we had this strange 5 minute hail storm the other day that came out of nowhere too! Crazy weather! 💕Sue Kment

Such a beautiful yard. Hail is no fun; luckily we don't have much of that here. But your card is super cute and very well done!
