Spaceman

Hi Everyone, I hope you're all up to date with Christmas preparations? Am I - Nope! We'll get there won't we as we usually do.

The weather was so awful last night, I hope you were all safe, we felt like we were trying to sleep in the middle of an airport runway, it really was so bad. Luckily no damage around here. We have sun and very cold temperatures, with the wind still quite high, making it feel colder.

Anyhow, here is my card for today, it was for my GGNephew who was 2 last week. He really is a little darling, although, as they live 6 hours away, we still haven't met him, with Covid etc, except by WhatsApp.

I didn't know what to do, so I went through my files, as I usually do and found these beautiful images. All into my die cutting machine to cut out, I glued all layers of the images together, as I had cut at least 2 of each, the spaceman I had reversed one image so that he could be seen from the back of the card too. I then added clear glaze to his helmet, the spaceship and the eyes of the earth. I hung the spaceship on acetate so it was "flying! the spaceman was on 3D stickers so he looked off the page also. The stars were then added to the navy coloured card background. I have to say I was pleased with the end result.

Hi, Faith, what a totally adorable card and a rocker to boot! Love the shine, too. He is also quite adorable and I'm thinking he will be in great demand for kisses his entire life! I know a lady in Scotland who was almost in terror during that storm. I'm on a design team with her and she kept posting to our group about the wind and noise, then woke up to snow next day. I forget how forbidding the North Sea can be. Glad it's now blown over! Have a good weekend, xoxo

Hello Faith, what an adorable card and for a beautiful little boy, I'm sue he will love it.
We here in Inverness have been very lucky, we seem to be quite sheltered by the mountains, and although the wind last night was high, nothing like other places in Scotland. We've had some snow today and it's bitterly cold.
Damian, my son sent me a video yesterday of the view from his boardroom window, of the North sea absolutely wild, but he works in Aberdeenshire on the East coast of Scotland and their weather was bad. I was thinking that I had that view I'd never get any work done, take care, Kate x
