Police card

Hi Everyone, my card today is for my Godson who is a Police Dog Handler, I went looking for freebie images on the web as I didn't have anything? suitable for him. Anyhow I found this and thought it perfect, just to remind him he has got a more comfortable mode of transport now. 😀

He has 2 dogs an German Shepherd and a Spaniel, both do different jobs and when he is passing, he occasionally, calls for a visit with the dogs. The German Shepherd is an "On duty" dog, the Spaniel is playful and frisky. He is besotted with them.

This is a simple card, I printed out the image, layered it onto black card then silver mirror card and black again. I have recently had the sentiment stamp and die and love it. I thought it suited the simplicity of the card. He usually likes it when I make him a card related to his work, I hope he'll like this.

As this is a black and white post I thought I would add a little colour and Spring to this post. Here is part of our garden at the moment. We had over 40 Daffodils planted in the border, however they went down not up, so we just have a couple in the corner and in our pots covered with wire as the squirrels were digging them up.

Sorry their blurred I don't know what I was doing,
but you get the idea?

I think I may need another camera?
of course it's not my fault they were blurred!

this is actually in focus!

Brilliant card for hi, Faith, I am sure he will just love it.
Your garden is looking pretty, I think I have just a few left, heaven knows where they have gone, will have to buy more though as they always give me hope at the end of a long winter.xx

Another beautiful card! Your lightbox is doing a fantastic job of lighting up the foil cardstock! My foil always looks black - even in my lightbox!

Great idea for the card Faith, I bet your Godson will love it. Lovely photos of your garden too, I love daffodils but for some reason most of ours have disappeared this year and I can’t buy cut ones to put in a vase since we have had the kitties as Tuppence tries to eat them - not just daffys but any flowers, it’s just her as her brother doesn’t have the same fetish but we have to be careful as quite a lot of flowers can be toxic to cats !!

Oh, what a fab police/dog card!! Your Godson will love it! As a dog owner and previous owner of a German Shepherd and a cocker spaniel, I think it is so wonderful for your Godson to have that type of job! And, your photos of your flowers are beautiful! I’m quite happy that spring has made it’s appearance!

This is a wonderful card for your Godson, since it relates to what he does for a living! Love the black with the mirror card and I'm sure he'll love it too! Beautiful flowers!! I always love your garden photos. We had some folks out yesterday to clean up some old shrubs and weeds in prep for the growing season, and as I walked to the side of the porch, I was surprised and delighted to see all my daffodils in full bloom in a new place on the side of our house! I guess the squirrels didn't like where I planted them years ago and decided to move the bulbs last fall! LOL

Of course he will love this Faith, it is perfectly tailored to him and his job! I love the image and the simple design doesn't distract from the image. What lovely cheerful pots of bulbs you have blooming there and what a top tip to put wire over the top of the pots! Vicky x

Just now I've noticed your eye-catching blog banner, is it new or am I that oblivious? It's gorgeous and your card is quite elegant yet manly. How can he not like it? You are so clever to keep coming up with different cards for him, that's a rather unique job! Love your garden pics, xoxo
