Newspaper!

Hi Everyone, my card today is a birthday card for my #3 brother, he was 80 a few days ago. I have had this newspaper template many years, just fill in the spaces with your own stories and pictures.

Photos and stories are self explanatory, I had fun putting this together in Photoshop and he enjoyed it too. I hope you can see some of the stories, they are true and fun.

here is the bottom news story, hopefully a little easier to read.

I used a few layers to make it look like a folded newspaper. -
It worked as he tried to get it off the 8x8 card LOL.

A tip, if you press ctrl  and roll your mouse wheel forwards, it will make the screen larger, if you then press ctrl and roll your mouse wheel toward you, it will go back to normal. You can then see it all clearly. - hopefully LOL.

This is the most clever, unique, and brilliant idea for a birthday card EVER!! I love all the fun stories, especially the photo of your brother's half-shaved beard! Too funny, and thanks for sharing this priceless creation!

Oh Faith, you are the best and I want to be in your family! You always make the most creative personalised cards for your loved ones and they must really look forward to getting them. I love that you put together real stories with photos about your brother and how funny that he tried to get the 'newspaper' off the card to read on! My favourite bit is on the newspaper header where the price is displayed - Single copy: priceless. Vicky x

What a fantastic idea, Faith! I know you brother (and probably his whole family) must have loved these 'newspaper' articles! Not only well laid out but wonderfully written, my friend. I must try to find a template like that. I think this would be so much fun to do one of these for each of my kids. :-D

What a creative and thoughtful thing to do for your brother. He must have loved it. The newspaper sure does look 3D will the folds. Fun stories too x.

First off I really thought (like your brother) that this was a real newspaper folded up on top of the card! It looks so real and 3 dimensional! I loved reading the stories, so cute and so funny. I can imagine your brother adored this birthday card. I couldn't imagine him not! You are so dang clever and talented with your computer Faith! I didn't even know you could hold ctrl and scroll forward or backward to make things bigger or smaller. What else can you teach me?! Probably tons! lol Hugs, Brenda

Faith, I LOVE this! You did a fab job and I’m sure he loved it too. I’m inspired to use something similar for a reminiscence group I lead - I think we could have a lot of fun with it!
