Hello

Hi Everyone, I felt I had to explain my lack of visits to you all. As you may know we are carers for my son, who has mental health issues. These last many months have been particularly wearing for us, maybe our age is getting to us? Anyhow, I want to thank you for your continuing support while I have taken a step back from a few things, but comments will have to wait I'm afraid, for the time being, while I pick myself up.

I have thankfully been able to keep up with my DT work, but I have not felt like crafting and even when I do, I sit here and nothing comes to me. Lots of procraftinating! Family cards have had to be made even though nothing else happens, I make myself do them, the dreaded Christmas cards are particularly difficult this year, lesson learned - start early in the year, which is what I promised myself at the start of the year, oh! well.

I wanted to show you these few things while I'm here.

After seeing our neighbours holly tree hedge, I had to take a closeup photo of them, I haven't seen so many berries in all the 25 years we have been here, does that mean a hard Winter? there were 3 magpies sitting in it (circled)

another part of it

I have been looking for a while for matching canisters to suit my kitchen, whilst in the supermarket a few weeks ago I saw these and thought them perfect, but they didn't have a labels on them. As they were only £2 each I decided to have them and then made my own labels on the Silhouette Cameo 2 with vinyl. I'm really pleased with them.

How creative to personalise the sugar/Tea and coffee canisters Faith....They look so elegant x. Wow to the berries and let's hope that doesn't mean a hard Winter x.
Faith ....please don't worry about commenting on my blog....I know when you've time you'll pop in for a look but don't take time out to comment x.
Find time when you can to craft Faith, even thought Mojo is low....just to get a break x.
Thinking of you and sending positive thoughts, love and hugs my dear friend x

Hello Faith, please don't worry about commenting, you have the care of your son and of yourselves as a priority. Supporting someone who experiences poor mental health can be difficult and so worrying. We'll still all be here when you are able to pop in.
I do like your canisters, take care, hugs Kate x x

Faith, don't worry about commenting just take care of yourself and your family. The birds visiting were a sign of support from nature watching over you! Just as people who have physical illness mental illness can be just as draining so don't beat yourself up. Your canisters look beautiful. Hugs and prayers to you and your family.

The canisters look great Faith and the photos are lovely too but I really hope it’s not going to be too hard a winter. I really hate these dark evenings. As you know I’ve not been very proactive either but I did a couple of new designs yesterday one of which is for my Blog but I just can’t raise the enthusiasm to cut them out yet so I must push myself. Take care and look after yourselves xx

I am sorry to hear that there are still issues Faith, I know how hard it is to deal with an adult child who has mental issues and age with us doesn't help at all either! My thoughts and prayers are with you my friend. Your canister set is beautiful and your lids done with the vinyl are amazing! So pretty in your new kitchen! Hang in there my friend, hang in there. Hugs, Brenda

I'm so sorry to hear that life is so hard at the moment Faith. Forget about commenting, that's not important, but I hope you feel able to pick yourself up soon. Thank you for showing us your photos. I can't believe the amount of berries on that holly! Never mind what the holly signifies, what about those three magpies? Is there a baby expected in the family?!!! Your canisters were a bargain weren't they, and you have transformed them into elegant accessories for your kitchen. You are SO clever with your Cameo and I have no doubt that your mojo will return in its own time and you will start to find real pleasure in your creativity again. Sending much love to you and your family, Vicky x

I'm sorry things are tough at the moment. I too have found commenting other than my DT commitments hard to do recently. Please don't worry about commenting on my blog.

Your cannisters are wonderful with the label you made--great buy! I've never seen a tree like that--how beautiful! So sorry it's been tough for you guys. Always hard when you can't "fix" something, but I know your loving care makes a huge difference in his life.

Hi Faith, sorry you are going through a rough patch atm.It must be so hard on you and as you say as we all age it doesn't help things either. I am sure reading all these comments you will realise that leaving comments is the last thing you should be worrying about...we all understand! Hope you continue to make cards when you can as the escape from everyday things will probably help you. As for Xmas cards do what I do and just design quick digital ones and then print them all out the same. Love the canisters, you are so clever with your Cameo ;) Love the Holly bushes too, what a lot of berries...hope the Winter won't be harsh. Take care of yourself, sending hugs your way too ;) Viv xx

I'm sorry Faith, I wasn't aware you were dealing with an illness that clearly requires lots of care and attention. I can relate, so don't worry about not commenting - just make time to do the things that bring you joy in the midst of heartache - like these canister labels. You did a great job with them! Sending hugs for better days ahead.

I've been reading the previous comments and I agree totally, Faith. What comes first is your son and commenting is not important at all. You will know when you can get back into that, but in the meantime, please know you are in my thoughts and prayers and I'm giving you big cyber hugs!
I'm so impressed with your canisters. That's a great use for vinyl. Your pictures are gorgeous, too, as always. The second picture of the holly is really striking. It just glistens! I bet you can find a way to incorporate that picture into one of your amazing Christmas cards!! (It would make awesome background paper!!)
Hugs!

I am so very sorry to read about the bad/rough/sad times you are going through Faith. You need time to heal yourself and recharge your batteries. Card making and commenting can easily take a back seat until you feel well enough to restart

Take care!

June

PS.... I've missed 3 consecutive years not sending Christmas cards. The were made but never got in any envelope. Jx

You aren't alone in not being able to visit, Faith. I've fallen so far behind I doubt I'll ever get caught up. I think I'll have to just start fresh. My annual Christmas season travels are looming and I'm trying to get everything pre-scheduled for posting while I'm gone and That's taking a huge amount of time. I'm also primarily responsible for home schooling my grandson which further limits any "me" time. I think you and I should agree to just start again in 2020. lol
