New Born / New Home

Hi Everyone, this is related to my last post, as Dorothy has a new brother Owen, he had a very traumatic entry into the world, then was readmitted with jaundice, but thankfully Mum and baby Owen are now at home and getting on well.

This is a photo of him and his sister

This is the card I made for them, I was looking on the web for ideas and came across This card. I decided to case it, I didn't have the die, so used a digital die. I stamped the sentiment inside the heart, but the ink wasn't dark enough, so I went over it with marker pen. I printed a sentiment onto vellum, then added embossing powder and heat set. I cut the heart background with the Silhouette Cameo 2.
giraffe - Miss Kate Cuttables
embossing folder - Embossalicious Argyle pattern
striped background - Hunkydory
stamped sentiment - magazine freebie
marker pen - Spectrum Noir
drops - Nuvo Crystal Drops
printable vellum - Crafters Companion
embossing powder - Dovecraft

As well as coming out of hospital on Saturday, they moved into their new home the same day, poor man after being traumatised with the birth and my G Nieces and baby Owen's condition, had to do everything himself, thankfully my Niece was on hand to do Granny duty and move a few things too. After the birth he had to drive 3 hours pack up, drive back and move everything into the new house. Wise after the event, he said next time, IF there was a next time, LOL he would get removers to do it!
Anyway here's the card I sent for their new home.

the roof was 3D'd and Spectrum Noir clear sparkle pen was added to the house.

Oh Faith what a totally adorable baby card. And Owen is a wonderful name (the same as my grandson!). With so much love from his sister he will be a big boy soon.
Also the new home card is great, what a wonderful start for the family.

Faith those are adorable. The giraffe is just too cute and the right color for jaundice, lol. Having him peek through the heart is perfect.

Such a lovely photograph Faith, I'm so pleased that Mum and Owen are both home and doing well, I imagine both Mum and Dad are in need of a rest but I don't expect they will get one!

Your cards are stunning Faith! I love the little giraffe popping out of the heart and the verse inside is so perfect. What a cute photo too. What a horrible time they've had - but hopefully they can put all that behind them and settle into their new home and pull the shutters down and focus on the little ones. What a gorgeous new home card as well - love that background paper! Vicky x

Beautiful cards, Faith, and a very cute photo. Moving house and having a baby in the same year would be too much for me, never mind the same week! Well Done him, and I hope they have a stress free and relaxing christmas now xxx
