I try and join the Outlawz sketch challenge as often as I can and this week I decided to join making a card for another GNiece.
paper is a candle template from PixelScrapper
on which I added colours in Photoshop
sentiment - print and cut on Silhouette, with Quill pen on "15" with silver foil
circle die - Tonic
bow - Lil Inkers die
flower die - Sue Wilson
button die - First Edition
button die - First Edition
silver mirror card - stash
this is the sketch I followed
from The Outlawz
EDIT - Wrong sketch, this was from the previous sketch aarrggh!

this is my inspiration for the colours
Now for my video of the storm and a few piccies too! It looks like the tree will have to be cut down as the centre had split and hubby had strapped it together, but the split is bigger and for safety sake it will be cut down, this storm saw the end of it I'm afraid. We are so sad about it as we planted it 25 years ago as a twig!
you can see the extent of the split in the lower trunk, it now goes to the root. Luckily hubby has the runner beans tied up.
I didn't get the sketch challenge, but I did get Festive Fridays

Super card, Faith, lovely design and a brilliant sentiment.
What a shame about your Acer, it certainly has been really windy today. xx

Love the card Faith, the foiling looks great, I must make an effort to use my Foil Quill, it’s been gathering dust for a while now. Such a shame about your lovely tree. I think we missed the worst of the wind and rain xx
Sorry about your beautiful Acer tree Faith x. Yes the winds are rain have been terrible.
Beautiful card for your GNiece and the design and colours are wonderful. The quill pen detail is so clever x.
Faith, your card is gorgeous and I'm sure that your Grand niece with love it. So sorry about your trees. We had that here the other week...it's scary.
Such a beautiful card. Thanks for sharing the photos!
Love your card, Faith, very sweet.
And that storm came here too, branches and twigs everywhere.
Sorry about your tree.
Your card for your grandniece is so fun and beautiful! I love the color combo and papers. Love the big circle with the age in it and the beautiful die cut at the bottom, and of course, that sweet little bow. I know your grandniece will love it. Boy that is a lot of wind for sure. Looks like it does around my house, especially in the late fall and winter. I had a big branch taken out of a tree of mine. It always breaks my heart to see a tree go. I'm sorry you lost your tree from this wind Faith. Especially since you planted it as a baby 25 years ago. Hugs, Brenda
Gorgeous card Faith. Love the colours but have to say the sentiment is fabulous!
So sad about your tree, more so as you and hubby planted it all those years ago

Gorgeous card Faith! Love the colors that you used from the mood board. I'm sure your Grand Niece will love it! My folks said it had been nasty, I'm afraid we must have sent it over from the US, as I lost four beautiful Black Cherries two weeks ago! Always so sad to lose trees, especially the ones you planted.
Pretty card, I love the colours.
What a shame about your tree. It does look very windy on your video - luckily we didn't get anything near as bad as that.
What a great card with fun colors and papers and so sweet for a 15 yr old! Such a shame about your beautiful tree - I'm sure it's been a treasure watching it grow from a twig through the years. We're getting the same heavy-hitting weather tomorrow afternoon - high winds, heavy downpours, hail, tornadoes - the whole shebang. At least no one was hurt and your home wasn't damaged, so now you can remove this and plant another tree ;)
Quite the storm! So sorry you'll loose the tree. What a cute card--love the colors & that darling bow!
A beautiful card Faith, lovely colours.
Such a shame to loose your beautiful Acer, good that your runner beans survived, ours did as well - luckily they are quite sheltered behind our garage.

It's such a pretty card, Faith!
I'm sorry to hear about the loss of your tree. We've lost some to bad storms over the years, and it's always sad. Especially when it's one that you've planted and watched grow for so long. It's like an old friend! :o)
What a gorgeous card, Faith and perfect for a teenager. Love the colour scheme and how you added the foiling. I haven't ventured into the quill yet but you have showcased it beautifully here and I'm feeling tempted!
What a shame about your poor beautiful acer tree - I bet the spring and autumn colour was amazing.
Hugs

What a pretty card! The little bow in the corner is such a lovely touch!
Your poor acer - especially that you planted it so long ago as a twig! It's such a shame that it will need to come down entirely.
That's too bad about that pretty little tree, Faith, but better to be safe. That storm was viscous and I'm glad you didn't have other damage. Your yard is so pretty and so is your sweet card for your grand-niece! I love the sediment, the colors, and that adorable bow!! Hugs, Darnell
such an adorable card...so pretty in the pinks!
So sorry you suffered some damage from the winds! Hope all is ok now.
x Karen
Faith, I'm so sorry what happened to your gorgeous tree. It is so sad to lose a tree to a storm. Your yard is so beautiful. How much land do you have?
I love your card! Even though it wasn't for the right Outlawz Sketch, you should post it over at Outlawz Festive Fridays. It is always five themes including Anything Goes!! I'm sure everyone would love to see it as it is gorgeous!!
This is such a beautiful card. I love the paper and the pretty bow.
