Tissue box & more piccies

Hi Everyone, I've not had any mojo, and have promised you I would make something, after seeing Carol's tissue box, it set me thinking that I had a file in my Cameo files, so off to check and found this. Thanks Carol :)

Silhouette Design Store 3d square tissue box with mats

paper - Craft Sensations
I was going to add "feeling under the weather!"
but thought it good as it is, to display in our LR.

I felt good, I was productive, but not too much concentration, except when I added the over box to the tissue box it was 5mm to small for this particular box, so just enlarged the file and cut another box, luckily the rest hadn't been cut, from then on it was just easy to put together.

here are the umbrella pieces and put together.

the piccies that follow are of the Acers demise!
The last branches. I am so sad. However as we were cutting up the branches and leaves, we noticed a long of fungus on the branches and a lot that were already dead, so in a way the tree losing it's limb in the wind, warned us it was sick and needed felling. Doesn't make it easier for me, I was VERY attached to it and hoped it would last for our lifetime at least. I can be quite a sentimentalist sometimes!

and it's gone!

Loving your pretty tissue box Faith, so sweet with the little umbrella's too. Ah I really feel for you about the sick Acer though, such a special tree (aren't they great when they are in full colour too). Our son had a massive Weeping Willow tree in his garden, a real feature of the garden too. My OH said it looked sick to him...a few weeks later and the tree surgeon confirmed it and it was chopped down boo hoo!hugs Viv xx

Sorry you lost the special tree, but glad it didn't fall & hurt something or someone. Our neighbor had a huge tree that lost one of the 3 main branches when we had a little wind--not even that bad. Amazingly it missed the mailboxes & cars--landed next to them in the middle of the night. Very interesting to watch an expert crew take it down. Sure changed the look of that house! The tissue box is a fun project--very pretty!

Very pretty tissue box Faith, loving the umbrellas

How sad for you losing the acer, I so love acers and we had to leave two beauties behind for the new owners of our past home... I hope they've looked after them!

Hoping your mojo is back with full force soon

Hugs, June

That's a great tissue box, Faith! I will put that one my bucket list of things to try!
I feel your pain with losing the beautiful tree. We lost four ash trees over the last winter due to the Emerald Ash Borer. These are trees we loved because they provided the only shade on the west side of our house. A few years ago, we planted some maples amongst them as we knew the end was inevitable. The maples aren't very tall, but someday we will get some shade (and pretty fall color, too).
We are in the process of cutting down one tree and then three more to go.

Loving your tissue box, Faith. Will look great on your table. Great decoration too.
Sorry about the tree, but luckily nobody got hurt when braches broke.
As we say: we still have the pictures.

A very pretty tissue box and a great idea.

Sorry about your tree. It is hard losing the ones we like the best.

What a lovely tissue box cover - I haven't made one in ages! I'm so sorry for your tree, I'd be sad too. Our house was built in the center of some big, very old ash trees that we enjoyed for years. The ash bore destroyed them all a couple years ago and we had to have all of them taken down over a 2 yr period for fear of them falling on the house. This past spring our neighbor out back had to have all of his taken down too, so now we are both missing all that shade we enjoyed for decades! One really does get attached to trees as they provide so much joy in their own way!
