I changed the colour of the Dog New Year character background paper in PS
The screen - I made a shape out of the image in Silhouette, cut out of red mirror card.
I also used print and cut for the dog and gave him another layer for his head, all laid onto a gold mirror card background and a few gems for a bit of opulence.
3D gloss for his eyes, nose and tongue.
the red layer character reads - good fortune
the yellow layer character reads - double happiness
I'm really pleased how this turned out, hope you like it too.

What a fun card to celebrate the occasion! I love that dog image, so decorative and adorable! The vibrant colours work perfectly for the theme and that die cut pattern in the background reminds me of the wall decor at the Mandarin! Love it! hugs :)

What fabulous creativity you've got going on with this wonderful Chinese-themed card. Aren't you clever to think of the Chinese New Year symbols and get the mileage from this great dog image. (Love the dimensional head). Great oriental look to the cut out & dimensional screen, and I'm loving all the red & sparkle on this one. I just love how you combine the PS and the cameo to come up with such super cards! TFS &Hugs
