Add a Tag TMR

My DT card today is for

It is my #3 brother's 86th birthday, so I made this card for him. I die cut the man 3 times and layered him, then looked for some paper. I found this striped paper, and embossed it with a happy birthday embossing folding, then layered onto a striped grey paper, and added to the base layer. The words, I didn't think, stood out enough so I rubbed an ink pad over them.

The die cut man was added onto a line within the ef words. The tag was printed and cut with the Silhouette and layered 3 times, I then inked the edge. I added a safety pin, also cut out with my Silhouette. Then attached to the front of the card.  I hope my brother likes it.

paper - B&W Collection, Craft Sensations

What a great masculine card, Faith. I struggle so much with making masculine cards. I'll be sharing a masculine card this coming Monday (the 19th) on my blog, but it's definitely a rare thing for me. Your brother (well, anyone really) will really love this card. Have a blessed week.

This is a wonderful card for your brother Faith, and I love the black silhouette and the added tag style sentiment fixed with a safety pin...such a great idea, and the paper with the added embossed birthday sentiments over it makes a brilliant background. x

The layered silhouette against the embossed stripes creates such a strong focal point, and the inked lettering adds just the right amount of contrast. The tag with the safety pin is a clever detail that gives the whole design a grounded, masculine feel. A wonderful way to celebrate your brother’s birthday.

Thank you for stopping by my blog. I hope you will return again soon.

Hi Faith,

I just read your posts in the DS forum and saved your blog because we have a lot in common. I also make digital greeting cards, but it's often difficult, especially for men, so I need inspiration. I actually like to scrapbook with masculine themes like technology or crafts sometimes.

Greetings,
Doska St.
