Close to Nature WLSC

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for We Love Stamping. This month, we would love to see your cards with the theme chosen by Karen of

Close to Nature
trees, animals, flowers

I bought this stamp recently and thought it suited the theme. However, it didn't end up as I intended.

I used watercolour pencils on linen card. Then went off kilter and added a floral paper background, a plain background and then a punched border, and THEN added a few die cuts. I think the mess around me when decorating my craft room, caused me to over do things on this card. I found so many things I haven't used in years, I just had to use them, but it's OK and fits the brief of the challenge. It will go to one of my nieces, who loves her garden and creatures.

stamp - House Mouse, Flower Market
pencils - Reeves Watercolour Pencils
floral paper - Make and Create, Spring Time
blue paper - Jelly Bean Crafts
border punch - Martha Stewart
flower die - Tattered Lace
butterfly die - Make and Create

A fabulous prize this month with a
Glorious Bouquet, a large Tim Holtz floral stamp from Buddly Crafts

After a few weeks of upheaval, decorating and reorganising my room, I am back online. I've been missing commenting due to no computer to access blogs, I didn't want to use my phone in case of bugs or whatever. Anyway, here are before and after photos. Not quite all back yet, but getting there. My desk originally was under the window.

Your new craft space looks awesome, Faith!! So much more room and lots of storage. Great job! And I know what you mean about finding all kinds of things that you'd forgotten about. I just moved into my new space recently and was constantly ... "Oh I had forgotten about that, and that, and that". :) You did great work using some of those on your fabulous card for your gardening niece!! She is going to love it! xx

Sometimes more is best, Faith, and I love this cute card, which will certainly brighten your niece's day. The work you put into the craft room has certainly paid off, and it looks beautiful. I did mine last year and swore I'd stay organised afterwards, but that didn't last long, and I'm all in a muddle again. Enjoy being back in your lovely room.
Hope you are well,
Hugs

Hey, Faithie! Back on with my new desktop but still restoring files. Love your mouse house card and it might be busy to you but it looks lovely and finished with all the details you added. And that's a fab room redo, so much more storage. But where do you assemble the cards? I'd have to have a little table on wheels to the right of the chair. I found one on amazon and love it, sometimes that's the only clear surface to work on (snort!). XOXO

Faith, your House Mouse card is absolutely delightful—each detail adds such whimsy and personality, and I can just imagine the joy it will bring to your niece. The layering and combination of papers and die cuts feel like a joyful celebration of rediscovered treasures. Your newly revamped craft room looks fantastic too—so organized and inviting! Here's to many happy hours of creativity in your refreshed space.
