Stamping & lots of piccies!

Hi Everyone, I'm stamping again. I blended the background, and then stamped with blue, however I had to stamp twice and just moved the card, I hate waste! so I used some water and blended the most obvious parts, I think it's worked? You will be my judge!

I also splashed some water over the whole card and added clear glaze in spots, all added to a navy card base and ribbon added. For all the faffing around I did on the card, I think it's OK. Maybe?

floral stamp - Woodware
sentiment stamp - Magazine freebie
inks - Distress Oxides
ribbon - stash
card - Jellybean Crafts

As this is a short post I thought I would show you the up to date, well a few weeks ago, piccies of our new fence and garden, you know I like boring you with the garden piccies. 😉 Look out for a "few". OR just scroll to the bottom.

Sorry but none of these have been Photoshopped, so colours are not as bright as they should be. This shows the original grass line of the border, it's being reshaped and re grassed, to make the border about 2 feet wide, just 4 plants remain of the original shrubs, they were in the way of the fencers or the narrowing of the border, so had to be dug up. I have to say that my hubby is a hero for all the digging he has had to do at 78 years old.

this is the top corner which has been planted with a hydrangea and an Astilbe for the time being, more to come.

this is along the top border

towards the left top corner, the beans are gone now!

further along

the left top corner, still a mess, but one hebe planted and a saxifrage
still needing to be dug though

this is the back of the garden, hubby has a new path and more digging to do, poor man.

I thought I would show you some pretty borders along the left side of the garden.
The dahlias are new this year and have put on a wonderful show.

a shame that some of this has to come up, being annuals. We
have had a wonderful show this Summer.

That's all for now, I hope the lovely weekend weather that we have had in the UK, or at least in our part, got you ready for the rain that's due?
Enjoy your week.

I love the card Faith and you would never know you had a slight hic-cup at all.

I love to see your garden, it looks amazing and I think your hubby must be super fit to tackle all that hard graft. You have some beautiful plants, the dahlias have had a wonderful year, mine was huge and I hate to see it fade. Enjoy, the rain was here all day Sunday.xx

Lovely card, Faith! I think the shifted stamping adds a great effect to the card and you did a good job in covering it up with the background ink.
Your garden is amazing! I could never be that ambitious at gardening and so I just am happy to admire the talent of others that are.
Hugs Monica

You did a great cover-up on the oops portion of your card! It turned out lovely. Your garden looks like a slice of paradise and God Bless you and your hubby to be able to do this at your age! The hard work pays off when you have this lovely yard to enjoy in your own little space! I LOVE to see your garden photos - I am never bored!

A lovely card and I like the torn edge.
You have such a beautiful garden, I am very envious of your hydrangea, mine has been moved a couple of times and is not very good anymore!

Hi Faith, first your card: as the image reminds of a batik print, the ghost of the second image adds to the look, in my opinion and your background shading was a perfect solution. Gorgeous card! And that adjective applies to your gardens. This must be your hubby's hobby. It's a fitness routine and psychiatric therapy as well, eh? I'm so envious, I used to be able to garden, prepare a bed, line it with heavy rocks, dig, plant, weed, etc. I was in the neighborhood garden club and everything. But not since 2002. Love seeing the hard work of others who can, though. Tell him I said KUDOS!!! xoxo

Your card is beautiful Faith! I love that blended background, so beautiful. That stamp is pretty cool too and I'm glad you didn't "waste" it. I think you saved it pretty darn good! Oh my, I love the new fence, very nice! The gardens looks so pretty. I wish I could put a bunch of plants together like that, but it would like like a big ole mess if I did it. lol I love Astilbe plants and been wanting to get some for my garden. Hubby is doing a great job on the gardens, I can imagine sitting out there in the summertime drinking it all in. Hugs, Brenda

This beautiful card looks perfect to me - can't see any signs of slippage! And wow about the garden! Such amazing photos. Your hubby must be super fit after all that digging. You'll need to be careful he doesn't run off and join the Chippendales!! Vicky x
