Retired birthday?

Hi Everyone, I hope you've been enjoying the glorious weather we have been having in the UK. I actually had a couple of hours freedom from things and read in quiet contemplation in the garden, with only the birds to disturb my peace, pure bliss! I can tell you I have needed it.

Anyhow, another birthday card today I made for hubby from my son, he wanted funny as always, so here it is. You may think that the DAD is not level, it's not supposed to be, my son always says Dad raising the last letter for some reason, so it's done for that.

I saw a card that I cased, more with the words than the card though, but it didn't have any name on it, so I'm sorry I can't give credit to the owner.

I did a print and cut of the stamp, then coloured it, not with great success, but I know hubby won't notice Bless him. Papers were layered onto black paper and I also made a background like a room. I used a stencil for the Dad. The image has 3 layers, when all glued together I added them to the card front, with the sentiments  and the border paper.

digital stamp - "Retired" Ericraftstamps
inks - Distress Inks
papers - Digital Scrapbook used to be Pixelscrapper
stencil - Card Making Magic, magazine freebie
sentiments - generated on the 'puter,

Lovely "dad" card. Somebody has to check for the holes. My mom used to say she was just resting her eyes. [Bunny]

Haha, that's a very 'Faith' card! I love sentiment and the way you personalised it by sending the word DAD up at the end. Love those warm colours too. Looks like your quiet time in the garden has revivified you!! Vicky x
