The first thing I ever did with etching, is this glass, I know I will improve, mostly because, as hubby says, I was too impatient to do the project before covering everything, so there were a couple of dots that splashed while I was putting the cream on. but I WAS excited to try it. LOL.
I used Armour Etch cream, after I weeded out the letters of
the vinyl and placed it onto the glass.
the vinyl and placed it onto the glass.
A so and so to take a photo of it though.
I also did some more vinyl onto glass, this time a mirror with a design,
I did in Photoshop, with PS shapes, and a sentiment I
saw on the web, I transferred it to Silhouette,

cut the vinyl and placed onto the bathroom mirror,
it made the men in the house laugh anyway.
It looks a double cut, but the mirror has mirrored it.
Another one difficult to photograph.
I can't let you see the next yet, as it's the present, I have been practising,
and I know she visits occasionally.
and I know she visits occasionally.
I'll let you see in a few weeks, after she gets it!
My next project, can you tell I love doing this? LOL
I had seen on FB lots of Gals had used wood and tiles to
add names for wedding presents etc. Too late for the wedding
in our family, but not too late for me! so here is MY tile.
Done with black glossy vinyl and silk? effect gold.
The wood effect tile I got for 50 pence in a
tile shop, it's 12 inches x 3 inches.

the est. is, of course, when we married.

Fabulous projects Faith, keep, thinking I must try the etching cream but never get round to actually buying any!!
Such fun Faith! Thanks for sharing these beautiful projects. Great inspiration!
Inspiration galore in this fabulous post. Yes I am impatient too to try out new things but wow have you nailed it! Clever, creative and fun x

Fantastic projects, Faith! I love the Armour Etch Cream but it can be a bit addicting. I was grabbing every glass thing I could find and etching a design on it! lol The design on the mirror is great...and my daughter would LOVE it! ;o) Love your sign too. I haven't tried any vinyl projects with my Cricut Explore Air yet but you've inspired me to begin! :o)
Yoo-hoo! It's meeeeee! Oh gosh Faith, you have been busy while I have been "missing" (thank you for all your visits sweetie). These projects of your are amAzing missus, I really envy you the skills (I'm way too clumsy and impatient for anything like this). Stunning creations. Huggles xx
Wonderful projects! You are so creative! Love the tile especially- What a lovely idea!
This is great! Such amazing work! I would love to try that too. I can be impatient too sometimes because I just wanna try it before actually learning all the steps haha.
THose are some classy projects, and I love the wooden name plaque! You married 2 yrs before us! We're old school, eh?
Get you ! Lots of lovely projects with your Silhouette and all are fab. I had a terrible result when I tried to use the etching cream you could hardly see the pattern and I left it on for ages yours is soooo clear. Great projects Faith the mirror one really made me laugh.

Cor . . . these are GREAT! xxx
These are absolutely stunning !! Nothing says love like a homemade gift and things made from the heart and you have wowed me with your projects !!! Superb! <3
Oh big WOW! You are amazing, and these are very delicate items to be working on. I can just imagine the fiddling needed to weed these vinyl letters, and you've done such a great job of it. Love the mirror (that was a complex effort to be sure) and clever you, to find inspiration on the 'net, then turn it into your own special project. GOOD JOB! TFS
WOW this is so impressive...so nice to see you experimenting and enjoying your creative efforts!!
Cheers

HI Faith! I am thankful to have you as a follower my friend! Mary or Momma Mary as I call her (not really my mom, but think of her as a mom) said she sent you over. Thank you so much for you kinds words. I don't feel very strong or inspirational, but I try. Glad you enjoyed my blog and have decided to stick around!!! I love new friends! I have also followed you and I haven't checked to see if you have email following, but will and do that too if you do. So we are stuck with each other! lol I will have a look around when I get back home tonight, have my Woman of Grace meeting tonight. Just a few of us that get together and are doing the Woman of Grace video's and workbook. So inspiring! So I will look forward to learning about you! Love, love, love your vinyl and etching projects Faith! They are fabulous and I think you did a pretty darn good job on them. Isn't it fun etching glass?! I always have a flaw somewhere on anything I etch, isn't that what makes it "homemade"??? That's better than store bought! Love the mirror too, should have had that when my 6 boys were home. lol Hugs, Brenda
Oh my word, Faith, these are lovely projects! I would be terrified to etch onto a glass as in your first picture, but it tooks fabulous!
love mags B x
All of these are outstanding....even a dot or two your hubby spotted. I've also been using vinyl for the same thing but using a tiny air/sand blaster. Everyone loves things with a personal touch, quote or their name.
Gosh you have been busy with your Cameo. What great creations. Glass etching is such fun but like you say difficult to photograph! Looking forward to seeing more of your creations x
Well done on continuing to utilise your cameo with fantastic results - I really should do more with mine, or even just use it LOL!
Hmmm, this makes me want a cutting machine which I absolutely cannot afford just now! lol Especially love the glass and your photo of it is wonderful.
These are all FANTASTIC, Faith!! I've never tried etching before. Your glass looks great to me! And that mirror is SUCH a fun idea!! Love the tile too! I love using vinyl for projects, but haven't for some time. I should get things out again!
