A daffodil girl?

Hi Everyone, the image for the Art by Miran challenge is so appropriate for me, don't you think? I used quite strong colours as they are the colours of Wales and she has a daffodil doesn't she? I followed the Outlawz Sketch Challenge for this week. Great, 2 challenges done in one.

I used some cross stitched embossed card, my SIL got for me, don't know anything more about it, I tried it, as the card I usually colour on isn't that good, and, I think it worked, looks like a canvas. I followed the colours of the Design Seeds FloraPalette_9.

I coloured it with my Spectrum Noire markers and used digi papers by Julie C Designs, the daffodil behind the image has a free overlay by Tracy Wray at Art by Miran. backed with red card. I edged the image with grey marker and fussy cut her out. My colouring has a lot to be desired, but not tooooooo bad? I have added a close up of the image so you can see the card texture, shame about the colours outside the lines!

Thought I would add a few garden piccies, taken at 9am in the morning on what was going to be an awfully wet day.

Cute card Faith. The red and yellow go really well together. I adore your garden! It's just how a garden should be, lots of lovely shrubs and mixed plants, a great haven for birds and wildlife. x

This is darling! I don't see where your coloring skills are lacking Anything! You've got some great shading and highlights, so lots of dimension in the bright colors. It's a cute image, and I love the daffodil motif...just perfect for YOU! I don't know what this cross stitch paper is...is it like a canvas texture which I see some bloggers using? I have some Bazzill that is quite textured, but you can't stamp easily on it.. This is so pretty...just a happy & bright feel to this card. Loved enjoying the pictures of your gorgeous garden too. Some plants that look to be quite fragrance..and what a place to enjoy some serenity with a cup of coffee! TFS & Hugs.
