Sympathy card

Hi Everyone, seems a lot of us are still in Winter mode, but, today with the rain and wind, there were, in between heavy showers, the most beautiful blue skies and with the fresh green of the budding trees it was just breathtaking, although much better sheltered behind glass.

Anyhow my offering for today is a sympathy card I did recently, not for anyone, but an idea I had, (one of the few LOL) it may be a bit too sad, but I love the chair, I cut out on my Cricut.  Inside I put an empty table and the rest of the verse from Les Misérables.

“There's a grief that can't be spoken.
There's a pain goes on and on.
Empty chairs at empty tables......”

I told you it may be a bit much, but for the right person perfect, I'll keep it back for them.

The chair is from a free digi kit, Silhouette at Numb Bumm, that I transferred to my Cricut to cut out.  The flowers are from various designers that I recoloured in PS.

I will be entering the following challenge.

http://lexiscreations.blogspot.co.uk/2013/05/challenge-90-and-winners-of-89.html  Black and White plus one other colour, (the sentiment)

Hi Faith - this is a fab-u-lous design for a Sympathy card ... really different and, to my mind, nicer than the traditional lily cards. Great verse as well. Thanks for sharing your card at Lexi's Creations this time.

Oh Faith, what a great idea! I only just got round to watching Les Miz when it came to our local community cinema a couple of weeks ago and I've not been able to stop thinking about it ever since. Glad you're having a touch of spring - winter isn't shifting from Buckingham at all apart from a couple of days last bank holiday! Vicky x

Faith, I think this is a beautiful card in remembrance of someone special. As you said, I am sure that sadly, one day you will find the perfect home for it.

Thank you so much for sharing with us

I'd never thought of that song for a sympathy card, but it works doesn't it! Love that chair.
