School colours???

Hi Everyone my card today is for
Now that is a challenge, it's a VERY long time since I was in school and hubby, who also went to the same school, disagreed with my colours!!!!!!!!! Of course I know I am right LOL.

The colours were yellow, green and navy, it's nearly 60 years ago I first went there. I wish I could find a photo of me in uniform, I always felt so good in them, us girls had to have navy cardigan and skirt or gymslip and a white shirt, we had a yellow, green and navy tie, in Summer we had a striped green and white dress, I loved it. Now something I remembered, we had to have navy knickers for gym, can you imagine that now? No shorts for gym then LOL. At least we girls had a Gym Mistress.

I really had no idea what to do for my card, my mojo has got completely lost the last few days, then looking on my desk for something else I found a HUGE frog I cut on the Cameo a long while ago and my idea was born, with a new frog cut, a simple card with my old school colours, even though it has nothing to do with school! I'm quite happy with it and it will go to the next GNephew on my birthday list :)

lily pad shape I made in PS, then transferred it to the Cameo to cut,

A BIG box!

Hi Everyone, I thought I would share a BIG box I made with the Cameo, I originally made it as a holder for a present I am giving, more about that in another post, I had bought the file a long while ago, but it wasn't tall enough, so just elongated to 11 inches, at it's tallest, in the design area and cut away.

It made up beautifully and I was thrilled with the end result, then tried to add the present and it wouldn't go in!!!!!

The unusual shape was right, but I was trying to get the wide shape into the narrower top? Something I never even thought of, how stupid of me, so I had to do another, which you will see again. Anyhow here it is, now all I have to do is buy something for someone that will fit it. LOL

gift box - six sided apothecary jar -  SVG Cuts
bow die from a lovely blogger friend - Lil'inker designs
paper pad - The Range

I would also like to share a T shirt I did last month, I used Transfer paper to print it out and ironed it onto the T shirt, something which is great to do on a cheapie T shirt that will be usually be worn around the house. I've had a couple of compliments when being worn. :) The image was a freebie from Fontbundles AND copyright free, so IF I decided to sell these it would be fine.  Sorry about the T shirt being wrinkly, I wore it first then thought of the photo, I'm surprised there isn't dabs on it LOL.

A Gamers card

Hi Everyone, my card today was for my Sons' birthday earlier this month, he is a gamer and has been playing Eve on line for years, so for his birthday this year, I decided to go the easy route and download an image from the web, to use on the front of his card. The background is a freebie I had recently, which was perfect for it.

I cut the name plate on the Cameo from mirror card, I was disappointed it had such a large over run on the cutting, but then thought it was sort of "robot -y", I kept the name in the frame and stuck it down then removed the frame and 3D'd it,  hubby thought it was a metal piece I had cut out, and Chris loved it all, even showing his friends, for a 41 year old that's something LOL. I was well pleased with reaction from both of them.

background sky dp - Fontbundles-Space watercolours

font - EVE alpha, quite relevant.

50th Wedding Anniversary

Hi Everyone, my card today is for a friend of mine, I have known her since we worked together 55 years ago, we sort of lost touch apart from Christmas cards and then after I retired, she was part of a get together of old workmates that I now go out with monthly. Here's a photo of me in the window of my old workplace, I like that they put me with some diarrhoea tablets LOL. (blue arrow points me out). The display with me in it! was because Boots was celebrating 120 years in Wales. Nope I wasn't there 120 years ago, nearly! but not quite.

Anyhow enough nonsense, on to my card. I used this card as inspiration Here.
corner die - Sue Wilson
pieced square dies - Sue Wilson
congratulations die - Tattered Lace, 3 layers
champagne glasses, heart and numbers dies  - freebies in magazines

Fishes!

Hi Everyone,  a card today of "Fishes" LOL. The progressive challenge at the Outlawz has both these fish as images to use, a zentangle and a simple image, I loved playing and colouring these. I found the perfect paper, (I think) for them, which is one paper out of 2 sets I won in a challenge a few weeks ago. The angle of the photo has somehow made it look like the layered background paper isn't straight, I used my "Perfect Layers" ruler to do it so I know it is, why do cameras do that, OK! why do I take photos at the wrong angle? LOL

After layering it onto the card, I sprayed it with CC's Spray and Sparkle, so it has a lovely all over sparkly effect.

Fish - Jean Chaney
Sentiment - Create with TLC
dp - We are 3
fish coloured in PS,
sentiment with gradient overlay in PS

hope you can see the sparkle in this closeup

Now onto another digital scrapbook page of our weekend away, this time more personal, we had such a lovely time and were so spoilt by my family.

floral Sympathy

Hi Everyone, my make for the Outlawz Sketch challenge today is very, very simple, a couple of layers and one paper and something from my first crafting experiences, to embellish a card - gold stickers! The die cutting took ages though, getting the right sizes to fit LOL. I wanted, so much, to put more on, a die cut or something, but I resisted and the end result is something I am pleased with.
dp - Fontbundles Pattern flowers 3
square pieced dies - Sue Wilson
gold stickers - Dovecraft

I thought I would add another digital scrapbook page of our weekend away, aren't you thrilled? AND I have a couple more to share - all say Yippee! LOL
