My loss

Hello to all my friends, it is with a heart broken into a thousand pieces, that I'd like you to know my Dearest Darling husband of 59 years passed, on 17 November. He was a man who worked hard all his life, who did everything to make me happy, who loved me more than anyone could. I was so lucky to him.

He was loved dearly by his and my family, and with so many people who have called saying what a gentle, kind man he was, who would do anything for everyone.

I share this, as I am, as you can imagine devastated, I've been lax in my DT work and with my commenting, throughout his illness, and this will continue for a little while, as I deal with everything and grieve.

Thank you for your continuing support throughout his illness and a little while longer.

I have added him in his loved garden and produce. I hope you'll forgive my indulgence for sharing my wonderful man.

 God Bless you, my darling.

Anything Christmas WLSC

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for

We Love Stamping.

This month, we would love to see your cards with the theme of

Anything Christmas

With no idea on such a broad spectrum to choose from, I decided to use a stamp and colour I saw in my subscription magazine. Not a colour I would normally use for Christmas, but I quite like the effect.

With inspiration from Sarah Phelan in the magazine, I stamped the tree and embossed in gold, then blended seedless preserve distress oxide onto the card. I rubbed over the gold, but it didn't come up as bright as I wanted, so I stamped and embossed again.

I then stamped and gold embossed the star corner and the stars on the right. The layer was attached to the mirror card. Next I blended a piece of white card, stamped and gold embossed the sentiment and die cut it. I decided not to layer onto gold.

Relax birthday

Hi Everyone, my card today is for hubby's niece, whose birthday it is today, She cares for everyone in her family including her Mum. She has also taken on the role to come and help us out recently, when we have needed her. A busy but lovely lady, always smiling. I decided to make a card to remind herself to relax, as she's always on the go.

With no mojo, and little time, I went looking in my files. I found the Relaxation digital kit and went with that, as it suited her well. I designed the card in Photoshop adding her birthday date, and took the elements, papers and Phoebe into Silhouette, they were print and cut. With 2 layers of each element and image. Next, I coloured her in with Di's.

Once I found the kit, it was pretty straight forward putting it all together. I then used more elements to add to the insert, and a verse, and that was printed out. All done with not much thinking, thankfully.

TMR Floral

Hi Everyone, my DT post for today is for

 The Male Room Challenge

After looking through my Christmas stamps, I decided to use the Christmas Roses and the oval leaves from the same set, stamped and embossed in gold. I then coloured both in DI's. The robin was found in my bits box, already coloured, and he was just what I wanted for this male card. Both sat on my desk for weeks, with me wondering how to use them. I found a sketch online that helped me place them, so off to my dies. I cut the oval and dry embossed it.  I added the same green as the leaves to wipe over the embossing. I flipped it and placed the oval to enable the flowers to show.
The flowers were added with 3D pads onto the leaves, and they were then 3D'd onto the oval. The Robin also had 3D pads added and then placed onto the oval. I wasn't sure which sentiment to choose, but this popped out to me. It was stamped and embossed in gold. The flowers, leaves, and sentiment were then painted over with a gold shimmer pen. Next, I used gold paint to splatter onto the whole card. It's a lovely effect in real life.

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for

Anything Christmas

I have so many stamps and couldn't find one I wanted to use, so I used a digi. Looking through my Christmas files, I found some lovely paper, I thought it would be a change for me to add an image. The papers, the frame, and the images were taken into Silhouette to cut out.

I coloured the hedgehogs with DIs, attached the background paper to gold mirror card, which was then attached to the base card. The cut out frame was 3D'd onto the main image, and then placed onto the base card. I decided to add some gems, that was the card finished.

Not a christmas Turkey CCC

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for -

Critter Crazy

Whether Furry, Feathered, Fantasy, Fairytale,
Scaly, or Insect, there must be a critter.

With no idea what to do this month, I went through some digis I have, and came across a chicken that I had to do. I took it into Silhouette, I added a bag design and clipped chicken wire paper to it, the bag and 2 images, in case of a mistake. I also added a made up a sentiment to the corner of the bag. They were print and cut.

The chicken I coloured with marker pens, I also added a piece of holly cut at the same time. It'll come in handy for one of those little gifts I give.  As you can see, they are all old images. That's the way my mind is working at the moment.
