Lily die

Hi Everyone, I bought this Sheena Douglas Lily die a little while ago in the Cardiff Craft Show, I didn't know what I was going to do with it, you know what it's like, the "gotta have it" thingy! I was fascinated by the effects they were doing at the show with the dies. I haven't got a great deal of "stuff" to play with, but I did have some metallic rub ons I have had for more years than I care to remember and have hardly used them. This seemed the ideal thing to try them out on, so I embossed some black card, cut out the dies from the same card and let myself go with the metallic effects. I used different colours on the flower and then added a couple of different ones on the embossing. I am thrilled with the effect. I haven't added a sentiment, not sure yet what it will be.

  4. This is magnificent, Faith! I love what you accomplished with the metallics. I'm back from my vacation time and am trying to visit all my favorite blogs so that I don't miss anything. I'm already finding that playing catch up while leaving comments on everything that was posted while I was traveling is impossible. Forgive if I browse without commenting, won't you?

  5. Oh MY! Hard to believe you started with black c/s. The lily petals are lovely, and the embossing shows up beautifully. Good buy for you on the 'gotta have it', and I can sure identify with that attitude! (remember I've got bags of schtuff setting on the floor in the stamp area!). The embossing on the background is a nice compliment to the gorgeous lily, and you really rocked the colors. Hope you'll do more of this - it's wonderful. TFS & Hugs. Happy wkend.
