Lawn Mower or Robot

Hi Everyone, a card I forgot to post. Hubby had his 82nd birthday in April and this is what I made for him. We have a large lawn, and it's getting too much for him, although as stubborn as he is, he will insist on doing it himself. I have this image in my files and thought it on topic, as we have been talking about the lawn and his fitness to do it.

All the details in this card are old! The image is from Birds Cards, I took it into my Silhouette with the grass and the sentiment and cut them out. I coloured the mower image in markers.

I went looking in my files for sky papers and came across this from Crafters Companion magazine downloads in 2017, again, I found the grass from Photoshop Creative files 2014, the cut grass in front of the mower is by Birds Cards 2010.

They were all put together onto a 5 x 14 inch card. Hubby appreciated the joke.

Fun card for hubby Faith, can well imagine he struggles with the lawn. Don't know where we would be without a sit on, I find it relaxing, takes about 2 hours but on the sunny day lovely.

I just love this Faith. The scene you created is wonderful and the verse is perfect. I hope your husband gets one or the other to help out, and a belated happy birthday too. xx

How lovely Faith. Lawns are a lot of maintenance if you want them to look good. I'm sure he appreciated the card.

Fantastic personalised birthday card. Would be ideal for my dad, if he needs to destress he heads out to his ride on mower and off he goes:-)

Oh my, what a clever card, Faithie! Love it and all your elements you dug up to make the scene. Did not know they had Rumba-type mowers, Honey still uses a push mower but only does the backyard. I insist on leaving the showy front yard to professionals, heehee (more consistent!) XOX

Oh how fabulous Faith, and fun.. a wonderful card. Love your inside comment also.
I have seen a robotic mower in action, and was reasonably good...it was working on a large, sloping area. I think on a level surface it would do better.

Adorable card Faith!! A ride-on mower is every man's dream. :) It's awesome that you've used all older products to make your card. I've been doing that a lot lately too. I have favourite things that I will never give away or throw away. :) xx

Such a clever and well-thought-out card! The combination of vintage elements and humor makes it truly special. It's wonderful how you've incorporated materials from different years to create something unique and meaningful. Hope your husband enjoyed the joke as much as the card itself.
