Fav stamps/add lace or ribbon WLSC

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for We Love Stamping. This month, we would love to see your cards with the theme chosen by Cathy of

Fav stamps/add lace or ribbon

My card today is quite simple, I embossed the bottom of the card layer, with an EF that I thought would go with the circles in the stamped image. It was then blended in the green I had chosen to use in the stamping.  The image was stamped above the embossing, and I coloured it quickly in watercolour style. Next, I stamped the sentiment.

I should have picked the ribbon and matched the colours first, as I had a heck of a time, matching the ribbon. In the end, I decided on one that was very close to the green. I didn't have card the same colour, so inked a piece of paper and layered it, all then attached to the base card. Lesson learned, get everything together before colouring.

Easter gift boxes

Hi Everyone, I've been busy with a few more gifts, again for my walker group. I had the design from Sabine Harris in the Silhouette Card Making Paper Crafts group on Facebook, she is so good at sharing files she designs. I cut them on my Silhouette, coloured the inside ear pieces with Spectrum Noir marker and added little pink balls for their tail. I inserted an Easter chocolate egg. I think they are so cute, the walkers were pleased with them too.

Gift packs & a card

I just popped in to show you my latest makes, I've not been good at blogging or making stuff, apologies. Here are a few boxes, that I saw with Pinky and made them representing my birthday cake, from me to my walker group, I bought some Mr Kipling brownie cakes and 2 of them fitted in so well. They were appreciated, as just a little fun gift. The photo shows a few of them, I actually made 10. They were made with a Craft Sensations Kids paper pad.

I then had to make a card for my God Son's son, lacking mojo big time, I went on to the web looking for male cards and saw a few candle cards. I chose a blue patterned card and went to my Silhouette and cut the rectangles, I then added dots of glue and added gold embossing powder on the gold bits in the card. Having a flame design in my files and using gold mirror card and orange card, the flames were cut too. They were 3D'd to the base card, and after they were added I drew a wick on each one. A piece of vellum was cut and I added a die cut sentiment.

Fav stamps/add lace or ribbon WLSC

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for We Love Stamping. This month, we would love to see your cards with the theme chosen by Cathy of

I don't know which of my stamps are favourite, but I really like this set, I've not used it much though. For some reason I thought of stamping on ribbon, I tried it years ago, and it wasn't successful, my mind works in strange ways, and things pop up.

Anyhow, I tried it on blue hessian kind of ribbon, a complete fail, I tried it on brown hessian, another sort of fail, I tried embossing in white on red ribbon, I got too much antistatic powder which didn't want to be removed. So, I looked for a paler ribbon and found pink, then thought, pink and gold are a lovely match. That's how this card came into being.

I stamped the ribbon and embossed in gold, then stamped the card, so that the complete stamp was visible when the ribbon was placed onto the card. I stamped other images and a sentiment, all from the same set on a piece of white die cut card.

Next I found an embossing folder that fitted the stamped layer, after embossing I rubbed over the same ink I had coloured the flowers on the card. The embossed layer was attached onto a piece of card, then inked around it in the same ink. They were all layered.

The ribbon was attached to the top layer, matching the stamped image. I felt it needed something else to balance it, so I cut more ribbon and folded and glued it onto the side edges. The top layer was 3D'd onto the embossed layer. A die cut butterfly was added, coloured in the same colour.

Geometric TMR

My DT card today is for
https://themaleroomchallengeblog.blogspot.com/

I struggled with this theme, last time I used it, so went online, to get some ideas. I saw many chevron shaped cards, and as I haven't done a fold for an age, I decided to give it a go.

Going through my paper pads, I came across a double sided pattern that I thought was suitable for the male species, so I cut the shapes needed, folded them and placed them onto a 6x6 card. They didn't fit as I wanted, so I cut a piece of card to fit them, then decided to emboss it. The pieces were arranged onto the embossed card, then the sentiment was stamped onto the sentiment shape. I decided to edge the shapes with the same paper. They were then added to the base card. Something I thought would be difficult, in the end was quite easy, thanks to Pinterest.

Bunny smile CCC

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for -

Critter Crazy

Whether Furry, Feathered, Fantasy, Fairytale,
Scaly, or Insect, there must be a critter.

I am trying to use up digital stamps I haven't used before, but it's going to be a long road as I have sooooo many. Anyhow, I found this cute bunny, and decided to use it for a GG Niece birthday. I looked for some birthday paper in my files and this came up. I added a black birthday greeting to the paper and printed and die cut it, then attached it onto a die cut paper layer to match the printed paper. They were attached to the card base.

Next I took the bunny into Silhouette and print and cut it three times. I coloured the bunny with markers and 3D'd the hand and feet pieces, it was added to the paper layers. I then added 3D glaze to the bunny's eyes and the camera lens.

The negative and smile word, I designed in Silhouette, and cut it from black card twice, I then painted them with sparkle pen.
