Now for something different -

Our friends had their 50th wedding anniversary last week and a little while ago I promised to show you their present from us. What do you get a couple who have everything and don't want presents?

Luckily I saw an idea on the web and was able to buy the last glass cutting board for the kitchen top at our local Dunelm! The silver effect surround on the glass was already on it and I added a leaf shape, their names and when they married. I'm pleased to say they liked it.

Cut on the Cameo, vinyl was used as a stencil and
 I then used Armour etching cream,
 I found moving the cream around for about 5 minutes was a good result,
 I added it to the underside of the glass.

I then decided to add some fun with a couple of mugs,
adding vinyl, cut on the Cameo - wifey and hubby
and 50 inside a heart shape

Thought I would show you half of my birthday cake which was absolutely scrumptious! Hubby had it brought out after a meal with family and friends, such a surprise day for me, although it was a couple of weeks ago, I'm still enjoying all I had and was done for me.

Here's the dozen red roses he bought, as well as arranging everything in secret.

Spring Card

Hi Everyone, I tried doing something and it worked!!

Image and sentiment by Paulette at Create with TLC 

First I added a gradient to the print image in PS, then I

 used the Spring sentiment and printed it onto vellum, 

I decided to emboss the back of the image,

 it turned out quite well, I think next time I will make the print a

 shade or two lighter, but I am pleased with how this turned out.

Both layers layered onto the card and then a couple of gems to finish.

Another make with my SiL, while she was visiting and we "played".

She had sent me a photo of my #3 Brother, after seeing me add a front image to a

 T shirt for my eldest Brother, a few days before they came to visit.

I didn't manage to get a photo of the eldest wearing his shirt, but #3 Brother loved his and wore it as soon as he had it LOL. Here are the 2 I did.

I added a gradient to the old photos, added text around the photo, printed them onto heat transfer paper, then ironed them onto the T shirt.

eldest was 29 here, he is now 81!

When I had my birthday my Brother & Sil came for a few days and as she and I are "into" cards and the Cameo, we "play" whenever they visit, SiL and I learn from each other and this time it was about the Cameo. We did quite a few things and I shall add them when I remember LOL.

Party 'til the cows come home!

Hi Everyone, Yep! that's the theme of my card today, which is for my God Son, I know he'll appreciate it. It took ages to choose an image, in the end I chose an image that I had in 2007, talk about digging deep! I also made it for the Outlawz Sketch challenge.

Hi Everyone, My card today is for the Outlawz Progressive Challenge. Such a pretty image to work with.

I'm owning up to the top DP torn digitally, but then cut by hand.

Brick overlay by DigiDewi, I saw a card

using similar, and thought I would case it.

Sweet as Honey

Hi Everyone, I am slowly getting back to normal, but it has meant a lot of things not done as I would want here, anyhow, I'll try and catch up with you soon.

My card today is for the Outlawz Challenge which ended March 14th! Why did I leave it 'til now to post it? Well I made it for thank you cards for gifts received for my birthday, so didn't want to blog it, as I know a few people who will receive one look at my blog and I didn't want them to see it before hand. I entered the sketch challenge without posting it, promising to do it ASAP and I was thrilled to be Showcased for it at The Outlawz Sketch Challenge.

Anyhow, here it is.

The font "Honey Bee" is one I have just added from FontBundles.net

the font on the site had a honey effect and I thought, silly me, it would be like that when I wrote it, but it didn't.

 I didn't know how to make it that way so emailed the site, 

got a quick reply and instructions on how to make it look like honey, 

now that is what I call Customer Service.

The only thing is it took me rather a long time, especially as I hadn't done anything like it before, you "may" see it again somehow.

 I'm happy with the result though. 

WOOD and vinyl!

Hi Everyone, I have really BIG apologies to say to everyone for not commenting or even blogging! It was all down to me celebrating 3 score years and 10 or in modern language my 70th birthday on the 9th. We had my Brother and SiL to visit and a LOT went on, I haven't had time to do anything, with visitors each day it seems, it has been lovely to see everyone. I'll let you know in another post what went on, as this is supposed to be a DT post, but it is late again. Shame on me.

Anyhow on to my make, NOT a card, but something I saw on the web, that made me think about my hubby and how clever he is. So my make for the

The theme is use stash and wood! So wood from hubby's stash, cut to size.

I made up the sign from tool images, I cut the vinyl with

 the Cameo and laid it onto the wood

 hubby screwed it to the side door of the garage.

Then sprayed with 3 layers of varnish, I think that should be enough! 

It was getting late so not a good photo as it was in the 

shade, with only the top right corner in the sun.

Glad to say he is thrilled with it.

Hi Everyone, here is my day late DT card for

SO much out of my comfort zone, BUT I did enjoy doing this card so very much, even getting myself dirty!!!! with gilding wax. I made it really dirty, by even adding pewter gilding wax around the card too, it reminded me of the days Hubby came home with his overalls standing up on their own, with the amount of grease on them, (he was a heavy haulage mechanic in his early years). Thank goodness those days are over. Shame you can't see the shine on the card.

On to my card, I laid it all out in PS, then 

printed and cut the paper and images out, 

the paper was embossed with a music folder, 

with the edges gilded with different shades of wax. . 

Then added ribbon.

I cut the gears on my Cameo and gilded them with the same wax. 

Then layered onto the paper with 3D dimensionals.
