Bauble edge

Hi Everyone, another Christmas card, I did most on my Silhouette this year and this is one of them. It's by Nic Squirrell at the Silhouette store. Greetings printed onto vellum.

Here's one I did for my GNephew living in Sydney, Australia. Not a good photo as it was raining and very dark when I took it, it had a lovely sparkle about it though.

I still have another one later in the week. Then will leave them, before you get too bored LOL

Snowflake

Hi Everyone, here is another of the many Christmas cards I did for family and friends. Cas style seems so good when replicating.

I don't know where the snowflake is from, I didn't save the details, now I have Silhouette version 4 with a notepad I can bring up, I'll save them from now on - if I remember LOL. so easy to cut a few together. The centre is removable, some were removed and kept a few complete as this one is. I love the stars on the it. The greeting is printed onto vellum. The background is a Crafters Companion snowflake embossing folder.

Beer bottle box

Hi Everyone, I hope you've had a Great Christmas. I have 2 boxes today, I made them for specialist bottles of beer, for my brother and BiL, I thought the "snowballs" were a fun addition.

I started with the cracker template by Birds Cards, which I played with in Silhouette, to make a bottom for the shape and adjust the size to fit the bottle, I am so thrilled with them, I felt they look much better than wrapping them in paper? Hope you think so too.

paper is from a pad I bought a few years ago, the ribbon is from stash.
glitter tape is from Morrisons Supermarket.
"snowballs" are from The Range.

Believe in the Magic of Christmas

Hi Everyone, I saw this image with Create with TLC and had to use it, I love the pink in it. Hence a quick print and clear embossing powder, then heat emboss on vellum, a little dry embossing on the Santa, although it doesn't show up much on the photo, it does have depth on the card. A quick fold and add to the card and this was done - MAGIC!

you can see the effect on the closeup, this works with any image,
it's how I did this card.

Hello Everyone, after a brief? spell of inaction on my blog, I felt it time to send you all a message. I hope to see you on your blogs soon. -
Look out for the snowball!

Thank you to Bugaboo and The Urban Fairy for their images

A Christmas card!

Hi Everyone, a post from me at last and would you guess a Christmas card. LOL

This is one of the 75 cards I made, for family and friends, I also made boxes etc. for small Christmas gifts. I'll add them in the next few weeks - even though Christmas will be over!

I cut the "merry" out of gold mirror card with my Silhouette Cameo and printed the border, with the added Christmas, onto thick vellum, As it came out of the printer, still wet with ink, I added clear embossing powder, then heated as normal, it produced a lovely effect, which felt like it was a sticker. It's something I haven't done for years, but will be doing it more, I think.
Edited - replaced photo as this shows the embossing better.

18th Birthday card

Hi Everyone, my card today is for 2 of my Great Nephews who are 18, in fact the story about this card is one I really have to tell. Skip the next couple of paragraphs if you don't want to know :)

I hadn't been on the computer for a few days and this is where my calendar for birthdays is, so I don't forget! I had been struggling for a couple of weeks, with an 18 year old card for the 2 boys, both named Cameron and born within 3 weeks of  each other.

I switched on my 'puter, to find I had 2 days for his birthday, and it was Friday aaarrrgh! to make and post a card for one of them, AND, I was expecting visitors later in the day. I had to find a quick card, so jumped to my Silhouette files and found a file, which was made up pretty quickly, I added glitter self sticky paper to add a bit of bling, also cut on the Silhouette.

Card done and in the post just before Brother and SiL arrived, I was pretty pleased with myself. I told them the story of their Grandsons card and SiL said, but his birthday is in December Argh! Hence me showing this card today for the challenge.

I had to do another one which took less than half and hour, and just in time to get the card I should have done into the post. So one is VERY early which he opened thinking it could be well done on getting an apprenticeship card, which I also forgot!!!!! At least he was thrilled with it LOL.

I don't know what is happening to me, 3 birthdays, a Congratulations and a retirement card, all just remembered, made and delivered, well, apart from the Congratulations which still has to be made!

Anyhow after all that or not as the case may be, here is the card that got me out of trouble.

Angels

Hi Everyone, my post today is a DT post for the

  Anything Goes Challenge
at

I am busy with "life", but I want to fulfill my role with my DT duties, therefore my card today is one I coloured in, with what was to be Winter colours, but in the end I think it's a little "ethereal" and I like it. I hope you will too. I loved the quote.

I also have a photo of the first frost on the lawn and the reflection on the lawn from glass, just wonderful shapes.

Penguin light

Hi Everyone, life has taken over and I am having a slight break from blogging, time is of the essence for me, please accept my apologies for lack of visits to you. - BUT, my DT post today is for the -

I had a a lot of ideas, but one came back to me time and time again and it's this Penguin Lantern (battery tea light holder.) I used a file from the Silhouette store cut it from black card then attached it to a piece of vellum, OK very simple, BUT who said the challenge had to be difficult? Although my Teamies have produced some superb work, go take a looky and why not join us.

I've taken the photos at different angles to show the different sizes of the penguins and the fact I made it big enough to hold 2 battery tea lights, hubbies younger nephew loved it. It made it worth while.
I'll be back in a few days - hopefully to show what I have been doing, if life allows!

Tidings of Joy

Hi Everyone, another Christmas card today, I have to get going, just another 50 odd to go. This is one I did last week. I have about another 20 odd local cards to go and they have to be done soon, to take advantage of cheaper post from the Scouts who deliver at Christmas time. No pressure of course and a few December birthdays and visitors - no pressure in the next couple of weeks LOL.

Snowman & Reindeer

Hi Everyone, my post today is for the Outlawz sketch challenge, I used an image that I have had since 2005, I still go back to these images, but not as I should as they are still great.

Anyhow, I followed the sketch, but kept it a little CAS this time. just adding the frame and gold card and ribbon with the red card. I added Sheena Douglas Sparkle Pens onto the lights and the heart and the bells on the image and extended the base of the snowman in PS. If you think there is an addition in the corner different to the sketch, YEP! you are right, I was just moving the card out of the way and realised I had dripped 2 drops of the sparkle pens onto the corner duh! well I had done too much to put it into the bin, so a matching holly corner and it was OK. I think so anyway. LOL I also added some of the pens onto the holly leaves. The frame and the holly were cut on the Silhouette Cameo.

Paper Piecing

Hi Everyone, my card today is for
something I always do digitally, but as DT we had a discussion about piecing and for me an idea was born, that wasn't the slightest bit digital, can you believe it?

Anyhow, I die cut the shape and basically filled in the shapes with 3 different double sided papers from the same pad, yep! "proper" paper from a pad!

I cut the "pants" on the Cameo from an image I found on the web. I cut the diagonal die out twice, from different paper and joined them, then added the other side of the double sided paper to the shapes, one half all the same paper and the other half mixed paper. I rounded the corner with a punch.

Oh! Holy Night

Hi Everyone, after a few days of absolutely no action by me, I have a card. It's for the Outlawz Wednesday sketch challenge, and I only just made it! It's a digi kit by SnickerDoodles from a blog hop in 2015, I had it as a freebie and only came across it by accident, looking for something else and it spurred me on to make it. A very unusual colour combo, but I really like it and surprisingly so did hubby. With gold Nuvo Glitter Sheen, it has lots of sparkle. The star has Uniball silver glitter pen added. All layered and fussy cut.

Pandas

Hi Everyone my card today is for the challenge at
http://morgansartworld.blogspot.co.uk/
my Team mates have wonderful work and the challenge is always
Anything Goes, why not pop over and enter.

My card is of the Panda image, isn't it lovely, coloured in Photoshop. I decided to make it quite monochrome and I hope you like it. Although in the photo of the card. you may not be able to see it, I mounted the bamboo paper, cut into 3, onto textured cardstock. I added it to the Silhouette Cameo cut, round circle, I shaped the text layer and added it to black rectangle I added a bow, which I thought matched the bamboo.

Spectacular day?

Hi Everyone, my card today is one I made just for the fun of it, but with so many men in the family I'm sure it will come in useful. I cut the specs, and labels with the Cameo, the background was done making a "whitewash" edge and adding some coloured stencil "paste" onto the background, this was done in Photoshop, I'm not clever enough to do it otherwise. All layered and 3D onto the card.

Robin Christmas card

Hi Everyone, my card today is a "practice" card, as I want to make a batch of quick cards for Christmas. I'm quite pleased with it, but I could do quicker I think. I'm not good at CAS cards, I always think they require "something" else.
It's one to add to the others I've made, but still have a long way to go and panic mode is setting in! I really don't want to be last minute as I usually am. Better get going I hear you say LOL.

Silly Stuff?

Hi Everyone, my card today is for the Limited Runs progressive challenge, we had this wonderful fun image to play with. I decided to use it for a birthday card for Hubbys Niece and as she is retiring on her birthday, from being a Theatre Nurse, she'll have time to do "silly stuff" now LOL. She'll appreciate it I know.

Silhouettes

Hi Everyone, my card today is for
http://themaleroomchallengeblog.blogspot.co.uk/2017/10/challenge-72-silhouettes.html
The Male Room is a great place to go to for "Male" themed cards, would love to see you there, my Team mates have the most incredible and very clever cards to show you.

I had so many ideas for this I couldn't make my mind stay on one idea, so looked through my Silhouette Library files and found this window blind, I have used it before HERE. As it's coming up to panic time for Christmas cards, I decided to make one. I think the younger boys in the family will appreciate this, I hope!

My silhouettes are Santa and the blind. I left the blind loose apart from the top of course. LOL. I added 3D gloss to the moon and Stickles to the tree.

Cupcake & Stripes

Hi Everyone, my card today is for the Outlawz sketch challenge, one I haven't done for a couple of weeks due to a "senior disorder!" - forgetfulness of what day was what. LOL.

Anyhow on to my card, I took one look at the sketch and just knew it involved my Cameo. I designed a square in the design area and added lines to be able to cut it. I also added the balloons I found by accident in my files with the cupcake, which then set the theme of the papers. It really was meant to be, it was put together in minutes, of course it took longer to make. I Print and cut with the Cameo added an outline to the balloons and the cupcake, then 3D'd them.

Then after I had added all the elements to the cut frame, I went to add it to the card base and somehow, goodness knows how, I had made one side bigger than the other????? so I had to cut top and bottom off to fit the card base, I think I got away with it? I then added the birthday sentiment cut from the same floral paper and with 3 more layers to give it depth and added it to the top, a few sequins and it was finished. I don't know why my photos have a wonky element to them, the cards don't.

Our front garden on the 19th October on a dismal day, just before hubby took all the flowers out to plant daffodil bulbs, seems such a shame to spoil the show, but it is extraordinary to have it look like this so late in the year.

New Home door

Hi everyone, my card today was for my Niece who moved home recently, I couldn't find what I wanted in my files, it's one of those files you know you have and it's disappeared!

Anyhow, I designed a simple door file in the Design space of my Cameo, cut it and layered it, I also cut out the simple letter box and a "dot" for the handle, also cut with the Cameo were the flower pots, I coloured in PS, all added to the embossed background, I also added an insert behind the door on the front. This isn't an original design, there are lots like this on the web.

A Wreath

Hi Everyone, something completely different for me to do, it may not be perfect, but I LOVED doing it. It all started when I saw masses of pine cones in my local supermarket car park. I collected them, thinking I would spray them with gold or silver for Christmas. I collected a large carrier bag full, so after this project I still have some to spray.

I had them a while before I found a vine wreath, then ages before I found something to go with the cones that I found when shopping last week for something unrelated, as you do! The pot puree I had, now smells gorgeous in it.

The perfect place was over a plate I was given by a guest from Wyoming when we had a small hotel, years ago, which I treasure. The ribbon just about fits in with the pink of the plate?

I thought I would show you the sunset we had on 14th October, a Stormy sunset, we have had some amazing sunsets recently and I love taking photos of them. These are all untouched by the way.

This is the sunset we had on 17th October, the sky was on fire. I took 3 photos within minutes and you can see how the sky light changed.

Lil Pumpkin

Hi Everyone, my card today was for my new GGNiece, another generation is born into our family and of course, she is the most beautiful baby ever! LOL. Dorothy-Louise was 7lb 8oz and was born after a traumatic labour for her Mum, thankfully both are well now. I love her old fashioned name. Dorothy means Gift of God.
2 days old
As she is born during the pumpkin season, I decided to use this fabulous digi kit card, so all I had to do was lay it out in PS and print, I also sent it to the Cameo for it to cut the layers. I felt it very appropriate for this little one, as her parents like unconventional colours.

Hi Everyone, a card with another oh! I'm am so late attached. I have completely lost myself this month, dates have been missing for me and this card was missed completely, although I had it ready, with just printing to do - blast! Definitely hibernation mode.
