Hi Everyone, just a quickie from me at the end of another busy day. We have had new windows fitted, which meant every room upended, we've started painting the house, at least hubby has had his hands full, with me doing as much as I can. The kitchen is nice and fresh again.
Next is my craft room, BUT it means a good clear out before I begin, not only that, but the room is being reorganised with new placement of my desk and computer. At the moment I can only use my computer for part of the day, and it's going to get worse in the coming week or two.
Not only that, but we have to have a builder to renew a lintel, we don't know if he will have problems and the room will have walls down, even the window undone after it's new installation. The lintel was found rotten by the window installers. Things all happen at once, don't they? It's the flat window lintel that has to be replaced.
Anyhow, I promised you photos of our garden, which were taken last week. The lawn is brown due to no rain, I can't believe I just said that! I’m in Wales famous for its rainfall. hahaha. We did have some overnight, but certainly not enough. However, I'm loving the dry weather and the sun. It's supposed to be raining over the weekend, so perhaps the lawn will look green again?

Your Digitalis are looking good Faith, ours are slow and unless they get some rain not looking as thought they will offer their normal splendour.
As you say things all come at once, a few weeks ago we had a leak under the kitchen sink, turned out to be more extensive and finding an available plumber was like seeing a Unicorn at the end of the garden. That sorted and we realised water had seeped under the floor tiles, another workman, pending for when he has a window in his busy schedule.

Wow your so busy Faith, love the new windows and I do hope the lintel change over will be an easy job, less mess is always great in my book. It must be good freshening the place up, I love it but it has not been as easy as it once was. I love your garden and yes, we are all getting brown lawns, but I can stand that for a nice sunny day, we have had the best Springtime ever I hear, hard to believe its not Summer yet. Love the new windows and hope you get everything sorted soon-fabulous foxgloves-I used to have a little patch but they seem to have disappeared but the redhot pokers are in flower.

Sorry to hear you are having home traumas. Even if work goes well, the process is traumatic. We are always putting things off because of that! Your garden is gorgeous. We finally had some rain last night too. I am so pleased as often rain that starts in the west fizzles out before it reaches us in the east. It definitely wasn't enough, but it was a start and I can tell that the garden plants are feeling better already. Hope you get a lovely clean and refreshed craft room soon xx

Foxgloves are such a great design aren't they? Yours look especially lush Faith, and your garden looks amazing. In a couple of months you will be pleased the house fixings are done and over with, then you can forget all the disruption. x CarolG

Goodness me you have a lot going on !!! It always happens that way. Your windows look fantastic but your garden is stunning absolutely beautiful and so big it must take a lot of hard work to keep it in order,I'm surprised you have any time at all for crafting..

Everything looks so pretty! Yay for you and hubby taking on this large amount of work. It does require a lot of extra time.
