Avast me hearty!

Hi Everyone, as you can imagine from my title my DT post today is about Pirates and is for

I had 2 male cards to make and this theme was perfect, for both are West Country boys/men? I still think of them as boys, even though one is 21 and one is 20. They don't know each other, hence no problem making two cards the same. I came across a Pirate speak translation site, I entered what I wanted to say and out came the phrases, handy ay? and as pirate speak originates from the West Country, I thought it was right to use it.

Halloween Howl

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for

I have absolutely no mojo atm, and had difficulty putting something together, Pinterest, didn't work, until I came across this howling wolf and I thought straight away of him howling at the moon, so I look for a moon and this background paper came up, look for a sentiment and this one came up, so looking for inspiration was actually in my files, whew! I couldn't believe how many Halloween files I have!! including a recent blog hop!

I decided to have the wolf on half a card, so he looks like he is further away from the moon, it works in real life! I cut him on my Silhouette and added score marks to make the texture on his coat. I also added another bat.

wolf - Design Bundles, cut on Silhouette
bat - Digital Scrapbook Studio - Blog Hop Oct 19, cut on Silhouette
halloween paper - Just Because Studio, also blog hop

AND THEN!
as I was going through the files, I saw this a can label from YEARS ago. I had just finished a can of coffee and it had an orange top, so decided to clean it out and add the label, a gift can! whooppee! of -

CAS

Hi Everyone, my DT card today is for

CAS is not easy for me, I always want to add more, so I tried to use a leaf stamp and see where it got me. I'm getting the idea of stamping now and knowing that I can use them in any way or position, who would have guessed? Although I do it digitally I never thought of "real" stamps being used in the same way? Strange!  I think this is classed as CAS, at least I hope so. I was going to add the sentiment lower, but a little drop of ink made that it had to be added where it is.

Draft Horses

Hi Everyone my DT card to day is for

my image  "Draft Horses"
you can buy HERE

I kept the colouring very simple, I wanted it monochrome, I had an idea in my mind, but couldn't achieve it, but I'm satisfied with it. The image is just so beautiful and reminds me of the farms around us in my childhood.  The paper was a piece left over from something else (a snippet or too large to be called that?) I thought it looked liked grasses to compliment the harvesting.

coloured with - Nuvo Vibrant watercolour pencils
die - Tonic pinhole
paper - Craft Sensations
3D - Dovecraft 3D Pearl Effects - gold

I had another go at the horses using Ranger inks,
I MAY add it to a card, I'm not sure about it. I think the background is OKish, but disappointed with the horses.

Flag bear

Hi Everyone, another quick post from me. I hope to be back in a little while to full time blogging? Apologies again for lack of commenting.

I just had to make this wonderful bear into a card. He looked like he was holding something, so, after colouring him with Distress Inks, I slit open just enough of his paw to hold the flag pole, which had been paper pieced and printed from Photoshop with the Welsh flag on it. I hope he gives you a smile. I just noticed it looks like I added the topper at a slant? It certainly didn't look like that when I made it! Perhaps my eyes need checking?

The bear is a progressive freebie from Limited Runs Digital Stamps for just a dollar you can join in.

All that Jazz

Hi everyone, I can't believe it's more than two weeks since I was here last. I've also been remiss with comments, so sorry. I won't be able to catch up, I hope you'll forgive me. We have had a few issues, so crafting has been the last thing on my mind. BUT, my commitment to The Male Room meant I had to get something done, so here is my DT card for

I couldn't think of anything, although this is the easiest challenge to do, my files are the first to go to, to find if I have anything. I found this perfect card, especially for a GodDaughter son's birthday, who loves his music. Shame you can't see the sparkle on the music and letters, it's lovely. I added a couple more notes, (an accident required them!) The saxophone is 3D with the centre of it flat. I also decided to add a  music embossing background to the card instead of leaving it in its shape.

Flowers and black lines

Hi Everyone, my card today is me playing with a big stamp and just using half of it, I coloured it and die cut it, but was lost for a background, then I saw a card by Sarah Warren on the Outlawz. I don't have a link I'm sorry, but the background of black card seemed just what was needed for my card, so thank you Sarah, sorry I can't link you. Maybe you can see it here. I went into my Silhouette and made the background and decided to foil inside the lines, using the WRMK foiling pen.
