Oh! well lets get on to the reason you are here. The Outlawz has a progressive challenge and my offering today is a mix of digital and water colouring, Yep! I have made a couple of cards with my water colouring AND on vellum AND wet and dry embossing. AND I quite like them too. LOL They are Poppies so are suitable for 2 sympathy cards I had to do today for friends who have lost their Father's.
The first I did was digitally colour on printable vellum. As it came out of the printer I noticed there was a lot of ink, I quickly found some clear embossing powder and embossed it all. I like the shine it gives to the sentiment and frame as well as the poppies.
I was lucky to win prize candy from Cindy recently and it came in the post yesterday, in with a mass of other lovely things, was an embossing folder, which I used to emboss the background card and the top of the vellum, (trying to match it up). Layered it with black paper, wrapped a ribbon around it and added it to the card. I did the same with the others, but used watercolour pencils on the back of the vellum. The vellum is only attached at the top, the wind wouldn't stop so they are shown flapping!
The first card is digitally coloured in PS the others are the watercolour cards.

I love your cards Faith. I haven't tried colouring on velum, so maybe a challenge soon. Pleased that your son is doing ok. Always a concern when they have to be on medication. Hugs Ursula
Sorry your son hasn't been well, I hope that he is stable now. I always though hospitals knew best when I was younger but as you age you realise they probably don't!
wow - these cards are absolutely lovely - helped of course that they are my fav poppies. Love your layouts too.
take care

Oh my Faith ! what a worrying time for you lately. I do hope your son is feeling better now, yes I agree he should be having regular blood tests.....shout ...and loudly if neccessary! Beautiful cards here too, love the poppies and your colouring ...and your embossing too ;) hugs Viv xx
Sorry to hear your son is unwell, it must be so worrying for you. I hope he feels better soon. Your cards are beautiful, I rarely use vellum, even though I have a huge pile of it! I should drag it out and use it more!
Sorry to hear that your Son is having such a rotten reaction, so worrying for you too. It doesn't matter how old they get you never stop worrying :(
Loving your beautiful cards Hugs Gay xx
Absolutely perfect a sympathy card - love the colouring - another stunning post. lolx
Sorry to hear about all the upset & hope you can relax just a bit by now. Very worrisome. As always, I'm intrigued by your clever ideas & the embossing powder over the wet vellum print was brilliant. Now why didn't I think of that! The one time I tried vellum to see if a new printer would handle it, I just let it dry!!! Love the blast of color that one has, but also like the soft watercolor effect on the other 2. Have never thought to try w/c pencils on the vellum. (actually I haven't worked a lot with vellum...it sort of intimidates me I guess). Well done on 3 very lovely cards and each is sure to comfort your friends. Big Hugs & TFS
Well I love them all Faith, would be hard pressed to chose a favourite. Do hope your son is still doing OK but I can imagine how stressful it must have been for you and hopefully he will be monitored carefully from now on xx
Oh Faith, what a scare for you and your son, but I am pleased to hear he is on the way to be sorted out. LOVING your flower cards, wow, those are pretty, and gorgeous and oh so clever. Brilliant! Hugs xx
All three are beautiful and I love the hand-colored. CAS and elegant. So sorry about your son. I was put on some meds and had horrible reactions and blood test scores were all over the place. It took two months to get back to normal. I'm SO GLAD some one was on this and got him the medical help he needed. Gosh, sounds like such a close call. I'm glad he wasn't by himself. Men don't seem to want to go to doctor if something is wrong. Glad MOM was there. Keep us posted.
Hi Faith . . .I hope your son makes a good recovery and that the Powers That Be keep an eye on him now. Can't imagine how stressful this has been for you, but lets hope things improve now.
Your 3 cards are all lovely. Interesting to see how much bolder the PS colouring is over the watercolouring
Stay positive my friend,
Hugs, Sarn xxx
Gorgeous Faith! Pros and cons for both I think. The digital one is so vibrant but the watercolour ones have a beautiful natural flow to them. What a horrifying experience that must have been with your son, I'm so glad he is recovering from that. I agree, if you need to shout, do it at the top of your lungs...whatever it takes to ensure he is OK. best wishes my friend. hugs :)
WOW, Faith! Gorgeous cards and the vellum is such a nice touch. Keeping your son and whole family in my prayers, my friend. :-D
What a worrying time for you Faith so glad he is feeling better now...stunning cards and have a great weekend huggles Sue xx
I'm so sorry to hear about your son, I hope he is OK now and that they keep a better eye on things in the future.
Your cards are beautiful, such gorgeous Poppies, they all look fabulous.

Oh Faith, sweetie, I'm so sorry your son had such a bad reaction. I'm very glad he seems to be better now, and I hope the medicos keep a closer eye on him. What a dreadful worry for you!
Your poppy cards are lovely, such pretty colours, and the CAS design is so elegant!

All the best to your son.

Beautiful poppies and watercoloring, Faith! Our kids just seem to worry us more now that they're grown. I don't think a mother ever stops worrying.
