Learner driver

Hi Everyone, would you believe it I am posting a "fresh" post, meaning not scheduled. Thank you all for your support and kind messages, things are so much better with my brother. I just need other things to go the same way and life will be much easier. I guess that's what a lot of people feel like.

It was my GNiece's 17th birthday and she was going to get her learner license and a driving lesson on her birthday, so I just had to do a card for her containing both.

I used the car die that I had used here and stamped a woman this time, onto to the acetate window. I searched the web for a map of the area she lives in and used that as a background. I computer generated the 17th birthday leaving a gap for the "L", which I fussy cut out. I cased the saying from the web and added 17 to make it relevant. The sentiment was stamped and cut with a die. Quite simple, but it took ages because of the map searching.

I hope to be able to do a post more regularly now. I have a few cards I have done for family birthdays, so that should keep me posting a few times and hopefully I will start making cards again soon.

map - the web
stamps - Magazine freebies SCPC
die - Julie Hickey

birds - Dunia Designs - Digital Press
car - the web, with personalised number plate added
laced pattern - Digital Scrapbook/Pixelscrapper (I think)
