Hi Everyone, I hope you UK ladies are not melting in the heat, nothing compared to some other countries, but sooo hot for us. This afternoon it is 30C 86F. I've escaped to my North facing craft room and although still hot, it's not as bad as outside.
Anyhow, the stamping I did today was actually done months ago, but it has been screaming at me to use it for a long while, today I plucked up the courage and found paper that actually matched the colours I used. I also found a sketch I could use, as the paper was die cut to the inch of it's life, now just more tiny pieces left. A few sequins to finish off.
A simple quick card today, just the stamping 3D'd, the bottom paper layers added to the card and a die cut sentiment. One of the 24pence dies I got in a sale recently.
stamped image - Chocolate Baroque
paper - Craft Sensations
die - Cut & Make, The Range
sequins - stash
the sketch, not colours of course - #390 CAS Colours & Sketches
Hope you're all keeping cool and sane!

ReplyDeleteA beautifully created card Faith, it's a lovely floral image and your design and colours are gorgeous, Kate x
ReplyDeleteThe card is beautiful, Faith! Love the stamp and the two little blocks of paper on opposite corners is a great idea.
ReplyDeleteHugs Monica

really beautiful card, faith! that image is just lovely and looks perfect with the sketch you used!
ReplyDeleteStunning card, Faith! Aren't sketches fun?! It's pretty warm in the US too... it's that time of year! We're in the western part of the US with little to no humidity, so it's fairly easy to tolerate. We've had temps in the low 90s here. Looking forward to Fall and then Winter! ;)
ReplyDeleteSo pretty Faith. My craft room gets the sun all day so am avoiding it at the moment, it’s just too much xx
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card. Too hot for me as well, staying inside stitching.
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that is so pretty! Way to rock the sketch! The colors of paper you chose are indeed perfect and your coloring is too. I hear you on the die cutting, so many times I find a piece of paper I really need to use and it's a nail-biter taping on the die because no room for it to shift even a molecule, lol. So hoping y'all get a heat break sometime soon. I just remembered being in London in June and the days were downright uncomfortable! Even for a Texan, lol. xoxo
ReplyDeleteA beautiful card Faith, a lovely stamp and pretty colours.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately my craft room is south facing and has a very large bay window, not much crafting going in in there at the moment!

What a beautiful card. Stay cool and safe Faith.
ReplyDeleteThat's really beautiful, Faith! Having spent a delightful year on England as an exchange student at Cambridge U, I know how warm that 80F must feel but it would be wonderfully cool to us. Yesterday was 105F where I live and it was the 23rd day in row of temps over 100!
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card with the floral image! I love the musical notes in the background, too! It’s a warm day here and I plan to stay indoors until I have to take the dog out, lol! Take care!!
ReplyDeleteOh how pretty this is Faith! I love the CB image and the colours you've chosen are gorgeous! Stay cool! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteWow! This is so pretty, Faith! I love the colors and the softness of the design! You absolutely nailed the sketch!

That's such a pretty design with the 3 panels, and I love how all those panels color coordinate with each other too! Beautiful roses over the sheet music, just beautiful! Stay cool, it's hot here too!
ReplyDeleteOh so beautiful and elegant looking. Gorgeous card Faith. Stay cool. xx
ReplyDeleteSo very pretty. I'm keeping out of the craft room as inks and acrylic stamps don't like the heat.
ReplyDeleteWe'd love to see this card at We Love Chocolate Baroque challenge this month - the theme is flowers.

86 can be pretty dang hot Faith, especially if the humidity is up! We are having a nice reprieve from the heat for the next two days, but then right back into the 90's we go for another week. So missing the pool! lol I am in love with your card! The image is just beautiful, love the colors and the sketch you used. Well done on using up snippets and stampings to make your card. I so need to do that as my box is getting pretty full. Stay cool!!! Hugs, Brenda
