Hi Everyone, I hope you are all well. My post today is a card for my Nieces Granddaughter. She was 6 last week. The card was another that wasn't received, so I thought. Then I had a photo of Dorothy and her card, which was a lovely thing to do by her Mum. I don't know what is happening with the post, it was always so reliable to get there in just a day or two.
Anyhow, I used a digital image and decided to add a floral dress for her to wear, the image and the dress reminded me of so much of little Dorothy. As I was in Photoshop to add the dress paper, I decided to colour her and add a background. I made the background with a designer paper and added the text and 6, with a digital garden stamp, which I also coloured digitally. I haven't done PS colouring for so long, it was a nice change.
Next, I took her into Silhouette and print and cut 3 images and layered them together. I also cut the 6. I added the background to a matching shade of card, then the image and number were added. The insert was based on the front, adding the same images, the verse I found at Craftsuprint.
How beautiful little girl is your Nieces Granddaughter!! Her smile showing your card is a great prize! ;)
ReplyDeleteAdorable card, great digital work with the dress!
What a sweet little girl, she looks so happy with her card Faith.
ReplyDeleteIts a gorgeous card, such a pretty image and lovely colours.
Have a lovely weekend. xx
Oh, Faith, I love your card! So pretty and the print on her dress reminds me of a dress my daughter had. Precious card and I know she loved the card just by looking at her sweet smile. Very pretty little girl!

What a beautiful little girl Faith, and your card is wonderful, beautifully designed, Kate xx
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous card for a 6 yr old. I love it, especially the insert. Such a lot of lovely detail. Great use of your digital resources too. I find that I forget how to use digital drawing apps because I don't use them often enough. Then I have to learn all over again! xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card for a gorgeous girl!
ReplyDeleteOMGoodness, how adorable! And your card is, too! Great image and design!

How cute is the birthday card complete with darling girl, heart balloon and a big number six! And, the photo of Dorothy holding the card brings a smile to my face, so so cute!!
ReplyDeleteAwww, what an adorable and beautiful little girl who's celebrating her 6th birthday! She clearly loves the card you made for her, just look at that big smile :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty card for a little girl Faith.
ReplyDeleteThe post is dreadful, prices increased, service decreases. An anniversary card I sent took just over three weeks to get 20 miles. And DT goods sent 24 hour tracked five days - a RM mail saying it's coming, then a second mail along the lines instructed not to deliver to our area because of staff shortages. I know we live in the middle of nowhere but seems the same problem everywhere, yet I post prizes to Europe and there in 4/5 days which is bizarre. OK moan over!

Such a cute card Faith and what a lovely photo of a very happy little girl xx
ReplyDeleteAwe what a great card for your nieces granddaughter. Looks like she loves the card too.
ReplyDeleteWow your coloring is great!! You should do more!! I'm jealous I have to have hubby color it for me. This card is perfect for her as you can see it in the joy on her face.
ReplyDeleteI have a customer/friend that will send me photos of her family when they get cards. It is nice to see the joy they bring. I have another lady that sends me emails sharing what nice things her family and friends say.
The mail over here sucks too. Use to take a couple days and now at least a week. The mail now goes a state or two away and then comes back which to me seems stupid and not cost effective.
Enjoy this weekend!
Such a cute for a cute little girl. Lovel photos of both!
ReplyDeleteYes - I agree the postal system does not seem to improve xxx
Hi Faithie, what a sweet card for such a sweet little girl!
ReplyDeleteI am just in awe of your Photoshop skills (on top of your Silhouette skills!). I use PSE a lot, but that's all over my head what you did.
Our American postal service quality comes and goes, so perhaps it will swing back to good for you.
Hope you are having nice weather!
Can't complain at all here!

What a beautiful card you made for your niece's granddaughter Faith but I know you won't mind me saying it's eclipsed by the radiant smile of the birthday girl herself! How thoughtful to send you a photo of her with the card :) Vicky x

Very cute card thanks for sharing!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card for a 6 year old FIth … you are so clever how you combine all the digital elements, I wouldn’t know where to start!! I know what you mean about post … I sent a supportive card to a friend with a hospital appointment 1st class and it took 5 days to arrive .. particularly awful in view of the recent steep price rises! Mind you Evri is no better .. this past week I have been sent 2 Next Day Delivery parcels that didn’t arrive next day!
