Spring has sprung!

Hello Everyone, I hope you have all recovered from the 3 recent storms to hit the UK and no one had damage.

It's a while since I showed you some garden photos, so I thought it's time to bore you again! We have Spring coming into the garden like crazy, I even read yesterday it could be the earliest Spring ever! Anyhow, I thought I would show you our daffodils and crocus that I took in between showers last week, they stood up to the wind and lashing rain and still give me joy. The rest of the daffodils in the garden are either coming up later or have disappeared below ground, however our tulips are are certainly putting on a splurge of growth, so many, I wonder where they came from, I hope they flower!

Now on to why you are here, here's a card I did for my Carpenter Great Nephew a few months ago and forgot to show you.

I was in a complete lack of mojo mindset before making this card, when I'm like that, I go through my digital items and see what I've got to suit, then mojo comes to life slightly, enabling me to make a card.

I had all the elements on this card from a digi kit "I'm his Garage" by Sherwood Studio at DigiChick in 2012. I am going back and using older schtuff that I haven't used enough of. This kit came in very handy with lots of tools and elements that my GNephew uses. I gathered lots of the elements and designed the card to suit him, the sentiment was found on the web

this is the insert, again, I found the joke on the web.
the blur is my greeting to him, I didn't think you would be interested in that!

  3. This card is just wonderful for a carpenter, with all the punny sentiments inside and out! Loving the nails and measuring tape borders that just make this a perfect one for your grand nephew! You always come up with the most genius ideas for specialty cards - and this might be one of my favorites! Well done! Lucky you having flowers pop up out of the ground already! One day we have winter, next day we have spring. It's been crazy lately - I'm either dressed too warmly or underdressed and I can't seem to find the middle anywhere! LOL

  6. Beautiful photos of the spring flowers! I can’t until we see them bloom around here, but I’m afraid that we’ll have to wait a bit yet. We are due for more snow tomorrow. But, in the meantime, I can look at your lovely photos. And, your card for your great nephew is awesome! Perfect for a carpenter! Wonderful carpentry items and fab sentiments inside and out, too fun!!

  7. I so hope the stress levels have been going down Faith? Thank you for sharing these wonderful signs of spring and of course extra loving the daffodils. Yes I did see many times the photo of Porthcawl and the crashing of the waves at the pier Faith. Still blustery up our way and more to come I think. Your card for your carpenter Great Nephew is perfect, thoughtful and such fun and thank you for the smile Faith x.

  13. Hahaha, I absolutely love this card Faith and might have to CASE it for my brother! Love the pun but also the 'Measure twice, cut once, then force it to fit' which is much more me and definitely NOT my accurate brother! Love the tools in the pockets and it's great inspiration for some tool dies that I won in Di's Snippets Playground last year. Isn't it lovely to see the spring bulbs coming up! Thanks for sharing your photos. Vicky x

  17. Hi Faith - Absolutely brilliant card!! I employ folk to do work like this for me as I'd make a mess of it. I'm sure your Great Nephew loves this card.

The flowers in your garden are lovely. We have lots of wonderful hellabores in flower along with some dwarf iris. I'm hoping that we don't have any really cold weather now.

Hope you're keeping well. Hugs, Deborah x

  21. Hi Faith, love the card and all the many little details you include. Plus giggles at the great humor. Love that you are revisiting old stuff, wish we'd all do that all the time, lol. My head spins at all the new coming out. So relieved you came through the storm ok. I'm surprised at how Springy it is over there already. Our lawn is still brown and no bugs yet, although we have heard the crickets once or twice in the evenings, then another cold front blows in and silences them. Anyway, lovely blooms, I'd enjoy them too! Hope you are well, xoxo
